its confirmed....
It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. - #TeamPW

It would be even more epic if you could get all the other car forums on board for a same day cruise.
Imagine.. thousands of cars.. consuming the 401 with intermittent honks of the horn.. like a 3 horn salute followed by a stop and a minute of silence before dispersing.
It would be mayham, but an epic sending off by the car community.

Just to chime in here. He wasn't one of the biggest gearheads of our time. The movie was huge in the tuner scene but it starred a bunch of people who didn't know much about cars in the real world
That was just a side comment but your posts are frustrating.
People who are trully into the "car scene" were well involved before the movie franchise came out and thats what made it fun and funny to watch
The rest are 19 year olds who want to go fast with nos and were so "inspired" by these movies
Anyway to get back on track, its never good when someone is killed.

Don't really want to start a side debate but I don't think it's unrealistic to assume that these movies did give birth to a few new car enthusiasts. I mean we all got more interested in cars somehow right?
Anyway. Always sad when someone passes relatively young.

Yeh I just had a shower after posting that and realized it was not a fair statement.
I think what I was trying to get across is that it is what it is. Someone gone at too young an age. Don't need to go any deeper than that with respect to the movies or the tuner scene.

legal or not that's greasy as shit. I dont have kids, but if my 16yr old daughter were being seduced by some 33yr old man, someone would be going to the hospital and it wouldn't be from a car crash.

In a way, it's disturbing but in another, that was their choice. If he wanted to date minors and the minor's parents were ok with her dating him, then who are we to judge?
We may not like it because it's not socially acceptable but it's their lives, their decisions, we should learn to respect that.

+1 My thoughts exactly, love is love. If gay people can't choose who they fall in love with and it is ok for a man to love another man, why is it wrong for Paul to have fallen for someone who is a bit younger than the socially acceptable norm. It's not like he forced her.
If it was her choice, and she had parental permission who cares?
If my daughter came to me and told me that I would probably think she was making a mistake (maybe) and would probably warn her against it...but if she told me she loved him I would deal with it. If it made her happy, and if he was a good guy (which in this case there is no denying that) what is the problem...It's only weird now because she was so close to the "legal" age of consent in 15 years she would have been 31 and he would have been 48 seems less creepy.
It amazes me how people get all upset about stuff like this, yet don't do anything about forced/arranged marriages for girls (or even guys) of different cultures often while they are still in school and underage.

what if he was 33 and she was 12, or 10 or 6? Parental permission or not you have to draw the line some where. Obviously that "line in the sand" gets blurrier and blurrier the older you get (one of my best friends is 30 and dating a 50yr old and I could care less). When you're over 18 you're generally considered to be an adult and can do (almost) whatever you want....at 16yrs old you're still a child.
When one party is under 18 and the difference in age is more than double, it's pretty sick no matter how you slice it or dice it.
If we were talking about anyone other than Paul Walker I seriously doubt you'd be defending a romantic relationship between a 16yr old girl and 33yr old man.
I know my parents would not have allowed my sister to engage in any kind of relationship, let alone a sexual romance, with a 33yr old man when she was that age.
If you plan on turning your daughters in child brides, please get out of my country and move to Afghanistan or some other backwards shithole.

That's an extreme example lol.. that's under the age of consent. At 15 and up, it's up to the minor and the parents to decide what's acceptable.

Child brides? lol.. you're going over the top on your argument. No one said anything about a 12, 10, or 6 year old dating a 30 year old.
We all agree with you that it's weird; but it's not our place to judge someone else's relationship. If they had an issue with it, or if the state of California had an issue with it, then they would have done something about it.. but my guess is, is that Walker wasn't having intercourse with the girl until she turned 18 so he was within the frame of the law.. nothing you can do about it.. if that's what worked for them then great! All the power to them.. and if you don't like it, then don't do it yourself?

I know my parents would not have allowed my sister to engage in any kind of relationship, let alone a sexual romance, with a 33yr old man when she was that age.
If you plan on turning your daughters in child brides, please get out of my country and move to Afghanistan or some other backwards shithole.

Child brides? lol.. you're going over the top on your argument. No one said anything about a 12, 10, or 6 year old dating a 30 year old.

The autopsy report has been released (http://www.cnn.com/2013/12/04/showbiz/paul-walker-autopsy/index.html?iid=article_sidebar) and Paul did not have a pleasant passing.......
"The one-page preliminary report released by the Los Angeles County coroner's office Wednesday listed the cause of the actor's death as the "combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries." An autopsy concluded that Roger Rodas, who was driving the red Porsche Carerra GT, suffered "multiple traumatic injuries," but there is no mention in the report of fire being a factor in his death."

According CNN :
Stories of Walker's incredible generosity have become a major aspect to coverage of the actor's death.
CNN confirmed one story from a decade ago when Walker noticed a young U.S. soldier shopping with his fiancee for a wedding ring in a Santa Barbara jewelry store.
"The groom was just back from duty in Iraq, and he was going to be deployed again soon and wanted to buy a wedding ring, but he said he just could not afford it," saleswoman Irene King told CNN. "I don't think the soldier realized how expensive those rings are, about $10,000."
"Walker called the manager over and said, 'Put that girl's ring on my tab,'" she said. "Walker left all his billing info, and it was a done deal. The couple was stunned. She was thrilled and could not believe someone did this."
King called it "the most generous thing I have ever seen."

Sweet video for sure.
Here's a comment from the video that also caught my attention:
"
-Bayside Blue Walker
If one day the speed kills me, do not cry because I was smiling.
That Bayside Blue always keeps them staring when I'm driving.
It's funny how someone you barely knew can completely change your whole perspective.
Some called him Paul while others called him Brian, the street racing detective.
Some would call what he craved wants; as he lived it was a need.
And even if he slowed down, he always had a need for speed.
While others denied what was going on in the world, he embraced it.
Leaving the scene he kicks the clutch in, puts the hand on the stick, and takes another shift.
As we remember you as a speed demon we remember you as an angel.
We remember that you'd take different drifts to save lives at different angles.
You're a father, a brother, a son and a teacher as you've taught dreams can be reached.
As I heard you passed, I realized that I must practice what has been preached.
Hard work and dedication can lead to all your heart's desires.
Whether it's taking a stage, saving a life, or on a street screeching tires.
You've shown that you'll always be down to earth, no matter the magnitude of fame.
And as you look down to earth, you can tell nothing will be the same.
I pray that your family and friends will find the strength to carry on.
It still feels like you're here even though you've been gone.
But thanks to you, you've showed me anything can be mine.
And as I gaze into the sky, I see you in the beautiful Skyline.
Rest in peace.

Ugh, that's what I feared after the security camera footage surfaced.

I hope he was unconscious after the impact so he didn't suffer from the car being on fire.

as a fan I am very happy about this. I can't wait to see the movie. I am glad to hear he had most of his dramatic scenes done, and that he will just be retired instead of killed off.

Just sad. Some lawyer has filled her head with bunk about how dangerous of a car Porsche built.
