Hi everybody, I\\\'m a new member here :)
After 8 weeks I finally got it on my driveway. It had 37km on it when we picked it up this afternoon, and by now it has accumulated slightly over 90km.
Detailing was poorly done... I got bug marks on the mirrors and tiny scratches on the trunk. And as well 2 long sticker marks on the hood.
Inside I got a lot of watermarks on the dash and side panels. Did they leave the windows open in the rain or something? I got tear marks everywhere inside, including the inside of the windshield (plus some spider webs). The tear marks are very hard to clean, I\\\'m pretty sure they are caused by rain. I gave up wiping them off for now, I\\\'ll try again next time when I wash the car.
So far so good. Need to get use to it. Very good pick up and very touchy brakes. Will bring it on the highway probably tomorrow.

With the 2.3 emblem affixed.

Grooves on the front passenger side rotor? It only had 49km on it when I took this picture. Now I got one or two more lines on it at 90km, as well as the rear passenger side rotor. Both rotors on the driver\\\'s side are ok though.

Did you get that at Erin Mills Mazda?
If so, I had the exact same problem with them... worst dealer I\'ve ever dealt with.

Yeah Erin Mills.... what happened to yours?
They tried to squeeze every single dollar off from me that\'s what it is. Although in the end they gave me the wheel locks for free because they screwed up on the plates.
How much km on yours when you pick yours up?

I had 19KMs on mine when I picked it up, but if you cruise through some of the earlier threads, you\'ll hear my whole story. Erin Mills mazda claims to throw in the locks for you... so they probably just making you think they had a great deal. I got my survey from mazda, and I scored them really low. I\'m also going to write a letter that I\'m going to demand a follow up on... we\'ll see if Mazda canada really wants to please their customers.
Not to mention the ass hat I dealt with on the phone... if you plan on going in to complain about your detailing, let me know... I\'ll go with you. I had to wipe the shit off my hood and the rear of the car [ between the rear window and the trunk ] as well as my moon roof, it had all this gunk shit on it from the white sticky cover they put on the cars in transportation.
I\'m going to do the best I can to make sure they get a bad name for themselves. When companies piss me off, I make sure everyone hears about it... just ask my friends about Best Buy.... I\'ve got some pictures up as well, you can check em out here. I really need to get the tinting done soon.

Nop... Thanks to the forums so I know you have to ASK for them. My sales didn\'t have a clue on the emblems AT ALL. I asked for them and applied my own. They came with a kit with instructions and they are not hard to apply. I decided to put mine on before my car gets all dirty with all the soots and tars from the road.
I decided not to trust the guys at the dealership to do the application...

Nice to meet you all... Built date 03/04.
The groves are actually sticking out from the rotor. Looks like it\'s something (metal sand) that sticks out on the surface of the rotor and it scratched the pad. If it\'s the pad that\'s scratching the rotor I should hear the squeeking noise when applying brakes, but I hear none.
The car is so far so good... 196km on it already. Had my first coat of Scotchguard applied this evening.

I\'ll try to find your thread...
I figured the tint shop is just about next door to where I work and it\'s about 15km from EM Mazda... so the milage is resonable IF they sent my car off to get it tinted. I really don\'t want to know the real story behind the first 30km.........
The locks they offered me at $25 (I think it\'s the cost, my friend got his at Prima Mazda for $30), or $45 installed. I told the guy that I would install them myself so I save $20. I would request them to remove the locks and put them back to the package if they wanted to charge me $45 for them at the end.
My sales was like oh you\'ll get a survey from Mazda Canada... make sure you give us a good rating - yeah right.

Holy crap. Looks like they didn\'t do anything on yours... I made sure they cleaned up the crap before I drove my car off the lot. Except I didn\'t notice the tear marks inside until I got home.
I\'m looking at the PDI sheet here. What\'s that \"rubber stopper on inside rear view mirror\"? I don\'t have a check mark on that item.

Oh hey! Twins! :p No doubt you have the dealer license plate protectors removed so you don\'t advertise for them. I\'m thinking of doing the same.

First thing I did after I got the car home was drive by CT and pick up some smoked Plate covers for that exact reason...

The dealer plates from Erin Mills Mazda are quite decent. They resist flapping and they clip the plate in place. One thing about the 3\'s is that there is no hole for bottom screws.
I have installed a clear cover for the front plate (since any damage done by flapping will only be to the plastic license plate holder), but the back ones I still have the dealer plates on. I have tried replacing the back one, but I find it flapps too much. The dealer one doesn\'t.
