Now that would be the fastest way to kill a good franchise.

If the franchise is worried about retaining the younger demographic, I don't mind if they replace ludicrous' or tyrese' roles with younger, newer artists including bieber. Just not for a leading role. I'm just worried they'll do something stupid and consider Justin Timberlake as a replacement. After watching drive, just get Ryan gosling and call it a day.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt could be a good fit for the role too.

Prediction: this is just some internet trolling. I'm pretty sure F&F7 avec Bieber in a leading role is what's colloquially known as "shitting the bed".

whats wrong with the little bieber, EVERYTHING. He caters to 11 and 12 year old girls and by no means does he inspire anything close to a motorhead ( import or domestic)

If the target market for these films in 16-25 give or take, Bieber could be a smart choice on their part. I cant stand the kid much like the masses here but if it is in fact true, could be smart. They would loose some of the fans but make many other Bieber followers.....my uneducated two cents.

Likely trolling as pointed out above though.

Lmao. The only way that could be any worse is if he were to replace Vin.

If they go ahead with it, the series is as good as done for me.
No body should replace him.

I'd be okay with this... only if Jason Statham does this to him

If this happens in real life, I'd be ok with it. But on film, a waste is still a waste.

Bieber is just a big waste of skin.

i can't take that article seriously. too many spelling mistakes.

i keep telling myself that they can't replace paul walker's role. he was the face of the franchise, and replacing him in the movie reduces him to just another character. besides, i think it would be kind of disrespectful.

then again, this is hollywood, where money is #1.

I was kidding with my friend that they might as well have Miley shave the rest of her head and play vin diesels part then too.

I suppose because he has a chrome Fisker he thinks he could fit the role of a pro driver..
I still stick to: Don't fill his part and finish 7 to end the franchise. Its the only way it works in my mind if they work his death into it and finish it. If they do carry on with more of them, don't fill his role.. I could see it working but not as well.

update that was posted on ertefas page:

"Fast and Furious 7 script being rewritten following Paul Walker's death"

After Universal Pictures shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 last week, following the untimely death of actor Paul Walker, many have wondered how the studio will move forward, with a bulk of footage already shot featuring the late actor.

Today, we have word that screenwriter Chris Morgan is working on script revisions that will allow the franchise to give Paul Walker a proper send-off, while using the scenes that have already been completed. This falls in line with our report from last week that revealed the sequel will be delayed, but not abandoned completely. But these changes are not a sure thing.

If the writer succeeds, production could resume as early as January. But, it isn't clear when Chris Morgan may have the revisions completed. Universal executives held a conference call the morning after Paul Walker's death on November 30 to discuss how to move forward with Fast & Furious 7. Insiders suggest that the studio's top priority was to support the actor's grieving family, cast and crew, with NBC Universal chief Ron Meyer asking all on that call to personally offer their condolences.

While the production shutdown did save the studio some money, they are also facing issues with the cast and crew's guilds, who have deals governing how long actors and crew members can be on hold for.

The studio has already spent $150 million on Fast & Furious 7. If Universal decides to start the production from scratch, the studio's insurance company Fireman's Fund might have to pay that bill in full, which would be the largest Hollywood insurance claim in history. However, that might not be the case, with one insider claiming that over half of Paul Walker's scenes have already been shot. Another source revealed the actor was scheduled for considerable work on the sequel the week following his death.

Another studio source said there is fan support in favor of completing the current version of the film, as opposed to scrapping the footage already shot and starting from scratch. Here's what the unnamed source had to say.

"What will drive everything is, is there an honorable and sensible way to do this? There's not really a road map."

We reported yesterday that Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has been moved to Fast & Furious 7's July 11, 2014 release date. While that report claimed Universal still planned on holding onto that date, now it seems that the studio has scrapped plans for a summer 2014 release. However, they still do plan on making an eighth installment of this lucrative franchise. Here's what an unnamed Universal Pictures executive had to say.

"Sadly, it will probably make people more interested."

Fast & Furious 7 comes to theaters July 11th, 2014 and stars Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Kurt Russell, Jordana Brewster, Lucas Black. The film is directed by James Wan.

no mention of justin bieber here... probably just some media freaks trying to get some money out of page views and stuff.

Fast 7 on bluray would be worth getting once its out. I hope that they might show some of the Paul walker scenes that don't make final cut, or even hint towards the original direction of the script before his death + rewrite. Special features may include a good memorial as well.

I was thinking the same as well. It will be great to see his scenes.

Fast 7 re-wrote the script completely, this is what they are going with:

- Justin Bieber as Brian O'Conner
- Zac Efron as Ian Shaw
- Tobey Maguire as Luke Hobbs
- Ben Affleck as Dominic Toretto
- Selena Gomez as Letty Ortiz
- Megan Fox as Mia Toretto
- Jesse Eisenberg as Roman Pearce.. the white version.
- Michael Cera as Tej Parker.. the white version.

and Bill Murray, Rob Schneider, Elijah Wood, Lindsay Lohan and Miley Cyrus as filler characters.

If this were actually true, you know who would watch this? People that are suicidal and want that extra push to do it.
