Which do you prefer?
For me personally, I prefer Merry Christmas :)

Depends.... does the person I am saying it to celebrate Christmas, or another holiday?

Yup.
I don't care either way. If i had a Jewish friend i would wish them Happy Hanukkah, people are becoming a little too sensitive. Regardless of beliefs it is about being happy and enjoying the company of your friends & family.

I go with Happy Holidays. I'm not religious and don't really celebrate anything at this time of the year other than the back to back days off.

Merry Christmas for sure, if a Jewish friend wished me a happy Hanukkah I would be happy that they took the time to think about me and give me good wishes.
Actually while I worked at Dave and Busters as a game tech I used to have our Jewish customers regularly wish me a Happy Hanukkah, and ask me what I was doing...never knew why until one asked me what my heritage was and when I told him both my parents were English and Christian he nearly fell over lol...apparently I look Jewish...who knew

Indeed! :)
I prefer happy festivus!
A festivus for the rest-of-us!
+1 on saying it depending on who you're talking to. To be "safe" or more of a general case, Happy Holidays always works.

Great chart, I hate it when people criticize good intent.

+1 this
As someone who doesn't celebrate Christmas.... I don't get why people in over react to this stuff. Just learn to tolerate it at least .
. even if it does bother you...
Same goes for other holidays like thanksgiving or easter

Merry Christmas and Happy holidays respectively. Make sure you all stay warm and safe tonight. Keeping a fire going for my family is the only thing that matters tonight.
Stay safe.

I like Merry Holidays or Happy Christmas or Happy whatever doesn't offend you or Happy festivus or .......... Happy If you got a problem with it maybe you should just take your head out of your rear end, you mighty grinch
For those that don't celebrate, more power to you, but if I am excited to eat chocolate and turkey once a year and I feel the need to be excited about it, then don't kill my vibe yo. #thanks

I say Merry Christmas, because that's what I celebrate. I'd be thrilled if someone would wish me a Happy Chanukah, or Kwanzaa, but it just doesn't happen.
Happy holidays can lick walnuts

Ahh the irony.
You say Merry Christmas because that's what you celebrate, you appreciate that others say Happy Chaunakkah or Kwanzaa because that's what they celebrate, but Happy Holidays can go to hell...
I say Happy Holidays because I *don't* celebrate.
-Geoff
I'm gonna start saying Happy Holiday at Thanksgiving

Just say: "The power of Christ compels me to say Merry Christmas"
That should happily offend any of those idiots out there.

Merry Christmas! Sure I'm Catholic and celebrate Christmas as the birth of Christ, but celebrating Christmas to me is also part of Canadian and North American culture, not so much a religious event.
