So who heard loud thuds/bangs on Dec 24/Jan 02 and thought it was ghosts, someone breaking in, or something hitting your house?
I personally thought it was a ghost.. only logical explanation at the time lol

We heard them at my parents(Quinte area), we actually went out looking round to see if a big tree had fallen. Last night or the night before I heard something similar in Burlington, but 2 quick bangs in a row,
Very easy to hear thats for sure.

Absolutely normal occurrence in northern ontario...when I was little we'd have weeks where it was -40c every night and the house would do it several times a night.

Yup. We assumed it was something odd.
Woke my father and I up at 5am. We've had freaky occurrences here before but thats a whole other story.

No shit eh lol..
This is the first time I've ever heard it.. shocking considering it's Canada and we go through winter for 5-6 months of the year.

this makes sense for what we heard a couple weeks ago. Just laid down for bed and BOOM. I circled the house twice and saw nothing.

Thought it was something hitting my roof, was late night so had no idea what it was.

+1 since it was one bang. I thought maybe a tree or asteroid peirced the roof. Otherwise there'd be a second bang and other noises as it made its way to the ground.

Don't you childproof your stairs at night?
