Stupid question to ask, but does anyone have an insane amount of fun with this awesome little car? I know I do, and that\'s why I think I\'m burning so much gas.
But anyways, to get to my point, I was just on my way home from downtow, and I saw a fellow 3 GT w/GFX sedan being pulled over by some blue and red flashing lights :)
I gotta stop having so much fun with this car , cause its\' just a matter of time till I see those blinking lights in my mirror.

I\'ve been loving it since day one, but taking it easy. I pay enough for insurance as is thank you very much.
Drive safe and watch for motorcycles (cause it might be me) :D

It\'s good to know I\'m not the only one.
It all started during the test drive back in February, that\'s when the seed was planted. I noticed that I had this huge smile on my face and goosebumps all throughout the test drive. I guess my RAV4 made me complacent while driving, the 3 woke me up...in a good way.
The first day I had the car I jumped on the 407 and went to Square One (from Dufferin). I ended up putting the first 1000km on the odometer within 4 or 5 days of ownership. I usually don\'t drive much, typically I\'d put on about 10,000km a year on a car so this was a lot for me!
Even with the high price of gas nowadays, I will still drive to the corner store for a litre of milk. This car is a lot of fun to drive.
I think I\'ll go crazy once I get my car too... break it in with the first 1000km ASAP. City roads, highway, back on city roads... go to airport, back to north east corner where I live of GTA, etc. :)
I\'m sure the gas will still be cheaper than the 92 Buick I drive now, V6, no A/C... for the past 8 yrs... :(

LOLZ - I\'ve had the car since March 11 and at first I had to drive it downtown everyday for work. Now that I\'ve started taking the GO train, the amount of driving has reduced tremendously. I\'m up to 4250 km.
Xenon, you\'re gonna pass me by next week :p
Recently, I\'ve been accelerating much more aggressively than I did during the first 2 months. But I\'m still gonna wait til I change my oil to Mobil 1 before I actually redline it.

I\'ve had mine for eight days and have about 450km. I\'d drive it all the time if I could, though, but I\'m hoping this car lasts me a long time. The less wear and tear early, the better :D :D :D

I bought my Red M3 Sport GT back on March 12th. I reached 1000Km in 8 days. 2000km in 20 days. 3000km in 30 Days.
I guess i was excited to be driving such an awesome car. I have cut back on my driving and am now at 9500km at just over 5 months.
I have noticed that i am gettign slightly worse fuel consumption then i did on my 2001 Protege 5. This could be due to lead foot syndrome.
Oh well I look forward to passing all of you on the roads of the GTA.

I bought mine June 22nd. Picked it up July 28th and now 3 weeks later I have 3100Km on it. I find it impressive that when in fifth gear and you floor it you still have lots more power to play with. I have never driven standard before but am having tons of fun with this one. I can\'t get over the torque on this puppy. I know it\'s not a lot but it feels impressive for a 2.0L engine. Even with a lead foot I still get at least 620km\'s per tank. I\'m loving that.

Snipes, I know how you feel, I have about 2600 km, so I am being a little more aggressive with the car, and it responds so well. I can really feel the pull with manual, when you floor it. If I need to pass a slow moving car, I have the confidence and the speed to go around with ease. :p I\'m Asian, so there are alot of slow asian drivers where I am!!!!! Zoom Zoom :D

well i wish i could go as fast as i want. But i\'ve finally learned to take it easy on the roads. It\'s amazing what a string of tickets will do to ones desire to speed.

Now if only some of us (myself included) can learn without a bad experience... speed kills! But it sure is damn fun... :)
A little late but welcome to Toronto Mazda3 club, teambedlam!

That depends on if the adjust the current habit of not touching people who do 119 in a 100 zone. All i have to do is worry about the 80 zones.
Thanks to wtom for the welcome. I always wanted to join a car club. Thanks to Mazda for making a car i\'m proud to drive.

Just passed 10000 today. Thats works out to 1854 a month. Hmm thats well down from my Protege 5 when i averaged 2500 a month. Mind you the fact that i used to commute 20 to work each day. Now i walk the whole 2 km to work.

I agree that this is a fun little car buuuut....since i had the privelage of going for a meeting with the MTO regarding the demerit points on my license i\'ve had to slow down a bit p.s. I second the motion to look out for motorcycles cause\' if it ain\'t
Miggiddy it might be me

I\'m at 650km in 10 days. After driving almost 150km in the first day I realized that my 20000km lease did not account for how much I want to drive this car!! Taking the curves in this car is soo much fun. It\'s rock solid. I am also having too much fun with the manual transmission considering I drove a manual car only once before.
