So my company just went through the contract hearing with the union and we aren't getting a wage increase but instead a lump sum. And so after bills and a 4 channel amplifier and possibly some Focal's for the front doors I'm looking to tint my car in the next few weeks as I've wanted to for the last 7 years of owning this car. . I'm looking to spend roughly 150-225 for them. Anyone know of a place that was reasonably priced and had done a good job? Let me know thanks.

Be careful that you don't spend too little as you get what you pay for in experience and quality and type of tint used. you should be most likely spending over $200 to schedule this depending on the area your from.

That's what I was thinking. I would like to get it professionally done but with how much I can really spend its kinda hard lol. I'm juggling what I'm spending on with this money. And I figured I'd at least get a couple of insights on it especially since in from Guelph and some of the places are in Toronto and that's a long way to go for tints.

I will let you know but I think this is the place that did my back passenger window a long time ago. They did a great job on it. And lol yea I didn't plan on spending any money on my car until my union contract renewed and instead of a wage increase we got a 750 lump sum in 2 weeks so I have now decided to spend a lot of it modding the car haha. Tints, pro kits and a 4 channel amp for the door speakers. Now the wait begins.

I've spent my whole life tinting , any questions you have just let me know . Your too far away for me to tint it for you but at least you'll get an unbiased opinion .
My first suggestion is gauge the experience of the tinter, next find out if its a dyed , hybrid, metalized or ceramic tint and brand being used.

Awesome thanks man I will do. I took a look at the website and the company itself and I'm happy with how it turned out. I'm going to ask a few questions when going in there but I have faith they know what they are doing. Plus it has a lifetime warranty so it puts my mind at ease as well.

It shouldn't , but most customers make that mistake. I have a lot of horror stories where competitor shops gave out lifetime warranties only to be let down due to the shop closing down or more commonly, they switch film brands to another company and won't honor it anymore. Also lifetime warranty against ?
Many warranties are worded in such a way that it leaves out something important or it adds it in only to hope you don't hang on your car long enough.
A couple of brands I can personally vouche for only because I've seen the tint hold up long term ( I've got over 20000+ cars tinted under my belt) would be Llumar ATR CH ( this is the tint I've used for many years and still do, Madico I also used for yrs with success. There are popular brands that I would stay away from but I won't discuss them on a public forum not geared towards tinting specifically.
I've tinted 100's of your style of Mazda and its overall an easy install so really its about picking a good brand.

Hi Jaimie,

I've gotten several of my vehicles done at Audio Heaven (a sponsor here), and can attest to the great work that Jeff and his team do there.
I'd suggest giving them a call.

Thanks,
Rob

The problem I am having is finding a tint shop that will do more then 20% on the front's of my truck :(

I've called a bunch of places in Burlington, and they say they will not do it.

I'm running 17% all of the way around, and was advised that I probably shouldn't, but I was aware of what I was asking for and went ahead.
Have you tried going into a shop rather than calling...sometimes they might be weird about answering that kind of question over the phone.

Thanks,
Rob.

It's irresponsible, illegal and a liability to the tint shop in the event of an avoidable accident to have 17% on the 2 front doors in Ontario.
This is why it's not easy to find a tint shop to bend the rules for the sake of making extra money to make a customer happy. I agree with the above comment though , if your stuck on having the tint darker than you are suppose to , you have a better chance personally visiting a shop rather than a phone call

I only tint legal at my location though, it sounds like your looking for much darker than what I tint . I'd be more than happy to tint as dark as you want the rear windows but must be lighter in the 2 front doors . Feel free to pm me if interested

rust check on speedvale in the plaza with cofee time and economy lube is good, and clear vision auto glass on speedvale by CAA and autosonics/speevale detailing is good also.

Yea they had just sent me an email last night about it all. But realistically I have read up on the other place and they have had good reviews on their window tinting. Plus driving to Kitchener sounds a lot better then driving all the way to Richmond Hill.

What brand of tint and tint type do they use ?
