...to those in houses/apartments, check that blowing snow hasn't covered the vents for your hot water, dryer, furnace, etc.

Its a serious issue... last year, over 9000 people suffered because they didnt close the vents on their space stations and submarines...

poor guys...

Nothing much, neighbour of mine pointed it out to me when I was outside shoveling. Funny I found out later during the day that my hot water tank had kicked out and needed to get reset (power off/on).

Also, if you have a natural gas furnace, check the snow build up around the regulator outside...they can actually freeze if buried in snow and maybe choke the furnace or even KABOOM!!!!!
