I think if you get one of the $10 OBD bluetooth devices, you'll be fine, nothing special really. THOUGH the GM part is very cool.

wont work with iphones/ipads though. they need the wifi ones that are usually expensive

I have a similar setup.... honestly the novelty wears off after a while. I only use mine now to check CELS....



it was cool to have a heads up display tho ... but that only worked at night for me ( basically the phone projected a mirrored image to the windshield... used it for a few days....)

That's neat controlling GM cars, but if you've got a GM car you may as well use the Onstar app to control those same functions. I've picked up three of the blue ones but from amazon (me my dad and a friend) and they all have been working great for the last 6 months. I agree the novelty wears off, but i still use it for CEL's and if i find i'm finding variances in my mileage i'll use it and start logging to see when i'm using more than i should

Actually, you can use bt modules with jailbroken iphone. You need roqybt app from cydia and its good to go. I use it with dash cmd iphone app. :cool
