Just wondering if other people with the CS sri would chime in. While driving is there a 'ticking' sort of sound? Can't remember if I hear it while idling and I can't check since I'm at work but I believe its there while idling too.

Valves will make a "ticking" sound.

A SRI is a tube. It does not tick. It does however allow you to hear more noises from the engine then you could before.
Ticking sounds are usually bad.

If it is a small ticking sound you could try using premium gas and see if it goes away.

How would using premium gas get rid of a tick?

quality of fuel can change a lot. If fuel is crap the motor will ping, which could be mistaken for ticking.
Ticking is not necessarily a bad thing and could be normal. For example on the speed ticking is completely normal as you are hearing the injectors

The CS SRI sits very close to the frame in the engine bay. If your coupled joints aren't fully seated, the filter can vibrate against the frame. Aside from that, the ticking is most likely something else.

This is a regular occurrence, especially on Skyactives
