Hey so i have a 2011 mazdaspeed3 i got it from a dealer used.

my problem that i am having is when i play music anything over 30-40 either via cd,aux,bt,radio the sound seems to just cut out. and the only way to get it back on is to turn the car on and off. if i leave the music playing at low volumes it stays on, but come on seriously where's the fun in that ?

Wait, 30-40% Or level 30-40? How loud is that? (I keep mine at 10 because I have a complete sound system so I don't know).

If you haven't touched it, or made anything in your system aftermarket, bring it to the dealer, you're still in warranty.

if you have 3 year 80 and are still within, then yes they will cover the radio.

Are you still covered under factory warranty?
You have a 2011 but it could be that it was initially sold in April 2010 for example which would mean that warranty expired April 2013. Warranty starts the date it was officially picked up or put in to service by the dealer as a demo/loaner. It could be that you have an extended warranty and it does not cover the audio system. I could suggest to you to call mazda Canada and see when the official factory warranty expires and what kind of extended warranty you have if any
