CASC Autoslalom and Time-Attack Open House

Every year the CASC Autoslalom and Time-Attack series share a season initiating Open House, this year at JRP in Mississauga to start the registration for both the season and schools.

There are discounts available for both as well as some discounts from JRP.

This year the Time-Attack series should be better than ever with the opening school and events to be run at the new Driver Development Centre at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. The Mobil 1 Time-Attack series runs at a wider variety of tracks than any other series in the country with more events and track time than ever. Please note that the invitational shoot out at the end of the season is free to all competitors who have registered for 5 events, effectively making it 6 events for the price of 5.

Just a reminder that the Mobil 1 Time-Attack and Autoslalom Open House is this coming Sunday at JRP in Mississauga. This is the first place you can sign up for the Time-Attack school(s) and register for the season and at significant discounts. You would be best to download the registration forms from http://www.casc.on.ca/timeattack . Having them filled out ahead of time will really make thing easier.

New this year is that we are allowing drivers' wgts to be added to the base car classification. This can make some less powered cars more competitive and help even out the competition especially on the faster tracks.

If there is enough interest, I can give a talk on the ins and out of car classification.

The CASC 2 day Time-Attack school on May3-4 at the new DDT only has a few spots left. The school will obviously have to be a bit different this year due to being at the new track ( and not being able to run in both directions) but the instructor training school this past weekend has allowed all the on track instructors lots of laps on this new and challenging race track.

The new configuration is faster, more varied and interesting than the old DDT but certainly has a few more spots that could really bite you hard. Good to learn them at a school.
