Hmm, maybe the next time I develop photos in the back of my car I\'ll look into getting a set of red LEDs. :D

Car looks great but have a quick question. Did you have to install these yourself or did you just take out an existing light and put these in?

They replace your exsisting bulbs. That first bulb pic is just a peanut bulb base with an LED head.

Not. The stock bulbs are a little brighter than the 4 leds

Like FLIPSPEED wrote I replaced the stock bulbs for the #194 4 Leds.

I am not sure if the M3 use the same number (#194) but maybe will be the same.
Here the procedure in my M6

Wow. Thanks man, this is great information and hopefully it will work on the 3\'s. If it does then it\'s a done deal in my car. :) :)

Does anybody know if this will work in the 3? If so, wicked. I got the GX so I don\'t have the map lights but will be sure to do something up with the dome light and then possibly use the foot area and run something from the 12v jack.

And if you actually NEED to read something at night in the car, what will you do?

The blue lights don\'t look bright at all...

I was thinking of getting the clear leds, but the stock map lights are already powerful, so why spend $$$ for it?

You can get in www.autolumination.com

Leds consume less energy.

I bought a set of Oval Domed Super White Leds and they sucked for light. If you want something better than stock then get Super White Xenon Gas ones. I have Eurolites in mine now and they are better than stock.

Woah is right... I\'m actually happy with the stock map lights, bright enough. I don\'t use them in daylight, at night they\'re bright enough. I don\'t need to get blinded inside the car.

Their not that much brighter then the stock ones, but they are nice and white. Sounds worse then it really is I guess.

After testing the crappy leds, im satisfied with these ones. I wanted white lights but did not want to sacrafice brightness.

all you need is a bulb that is *slightly* finted blue. Admittidly, our interior lights look kinda too yellowish for my tastes. But I\'m not going to bother doing anything to them until tye burn out.
