Brake Problem

i changed my winter tires to my summer today and re painted my calipers. now when i brake theres a loud grinding/screaching sound. does anyone know what would cause this problem? it was completely fine in the morning when driving with the winters on only when i switched the tires it started. thanks.

This happened to me as well.

I had my calipers painted and thereafter, any time I fully depressed my brakes there would be a noise, and when I released, there would be a noise. After about 20 KM, it seemed to have gone away. Hopefully yours does the same as well.

For you, does the sound only happen when you fully depress the brake and release brake from rest? This is what happened to me, while braking there isn't any noises, but once I come to a complete brake, it makes a sort of "locking" sound, and then when I release, it sounds like it's "unlocking."

yeah it makes a grinding noise only when i apply the brakes then i do notice a click like sound when i let off the brake. im hoping it just some paint on the brake pad making that noise if it continues its off to midas to see what the problem is.

Mine does this. When i stop/slow i get a low clunk, and when i accelerate it 'clunks' in the other direction. Probably more suspension than brakes.

After painting calipers, the brakes do make some weird loud noises. They go away after about 50km.

yeah took it out today after about 20-30km the noise is gone im just gonna assume it was the paint.
