Ive heard some stories of other brands of coilovers for a gen 1 fit a gen 2 with extended bolts, but im wondering if its the same case for ST coilovers? Anyone have experience here?

Why would it be different?

Use the extended bolts, no problem.

You need the first gen lower shock bolt

Hey guys, ( Hyperion / Aitch )

I have a question regarding these coils.

I recently bought a set of gen 1 ISC N1 MS3 coils and i'm going to be swapping them to my Gen2 MZ3 come spring time.

I know you speak of the lower shock bolt, i assume this is for the rear? I looked yesterday and the Gen1 seems considerably bigger, but there is almost like a bracket that holds the shock in place. I cant seem to find an image setup on how to convert to the gen 1 suspension, anyone able to give me a few written details on what this requires? I know also i might be hooped on hooking up the brake line for the front as the front hoses may be different.

Thanks in advance.

I'm really not sure about any differences other than the rear bolt. I thought everything else was essentially identical in terms of hard points.

Huh.
Everything you said there doesn't need to be touched.
You take the coils from the first gen, and put them on the 2nd gen with a new, previously discussed, bolt in the rear lower shock... That's it. No conversion to gen 1 suspension, no brake lines, just.. Install

From what it looks like, there's a plate covering the shock bolt where it contacts the bushing. Interesting they should put that there. After looking for a while longer, it looks like i would just end up swapping that plate to the new bolt.

Correct me if im wrong?

As for the brake hose, the front brakes have a different method of connecting the strut to the brake line. I'll have to double check on that as well when i get home.

I have first gen ISC n1 coils on my gen2. Other then the bolt in the rear you do nothing different.

You can use anything. The rear bolts just need to be changed. I also run the ISC setup for a gen1
