Just got mine a couple of weeks ago. Need to replace my 12 year old Protege5 (what a great car that had been for me all those years!).

Liked the new 2014 models, Mazda had $4k off the 13's, plus another $500 loyalty, so it was too hard to ignore. Also, I'm a heavy commuter, now putting on about 40K a year, so wanted to keep cost per mile to a minimum.

The Skyactive engine is already helping in that department. Got around 6L/100km average on my first two tanks, compared to my best of high 7's with my P5. So, very happy thus far.

No plans for heavy modding, but will be getting it tinted in the next week or so, and also looking to upgrade the stock 16" rims to 17" GT model style when I can find a good deal.

Will post pics when I get a chance.

Oh, forgot to say that I really would have preferred the hatch, but all 2013's were sold a month or so prior to my purchase. :(

Sedan is nice too though. Or maybe I'm just telling myself that? :)

Nice grab.

Yeah, choices were very limited. I got one of the last Skyactives in Ontario. As mentioned, wanted a hatch, but only sedans were left. Was looking for a Aluminum Metallic w/ a sunroof but no leather. I got lucky and found one in that exact config.

Congrats on your purchase! Can't wait for pics.
And for what it's worth, I like the sedans better!

They do look good, just not as good in my opinion. :)

No, it's actually the lighter one. I liked both versions, but Aluminum is easier to maintain. Plus, they only had the darker version with leather, which I didn't want.

Any suggestions on the best place to source 2010/2011 GT rims like these?

http://www.motivemagazine.com/emAlbum/albums/Manufacturers/Mazda/Mazda3/2010-Present/Sedan/2010_MAZDA3-sGT4DR-184.jpg

I've been on the look out on Kijiji, but not much options. I've seen a couple pairs over the last month, but pricing seems to be right up there with 18" RX8 and MS3 wheel pricing (doesn't make sense to me).

I want to post here in the Buy/Sell forum, but I have to hit the 50 post count before I can post in that section. :(

Really like them, but not sure I want to go 18". I do a lot of driving, so the added tire costs are a definite drawback, plus I think I'd have to lower my 3 to complete the look with the 18" MS3 rims or any aftermarket rims for that matter. That's why I'm looking for OEM GT rims, as it will still look good at the stock height.

A little late in posting this, but I got the 3 tinted a couple of weeks ago. Went to the affiliate Audio Heaven. Jeff and his team were great to deal with.

Ended up going with 23%. Was debating between that and 35%, but the 35 looked a little too light.

Think it looks pretty good.

Next up: GT rims. Just bought them through another member on the board. Will post pics once installed in the next day or two.

Put the GT rims on and it looks great imo. It's a subtle difference, but gives the car a nice "finish" while still looking stock. Exactly what I was going for.

While its not a huge difference in look, I do have to say I like the look of the GT rims better. Looks good. What did you pay to have windows tinted?

Thanks.

The tints were $245 for the premium film. $200 for the standard type.
