took my car in to jimmy for an oil change this Wednesday and we found several hairline cracks in my oil pan which is leaking oil from one of the bolts and surrounding area.

I have a 2.0L mazda 3 gs manual

I have only checked dealerships so far and found the OEM part with its rather large price tag. (I will include the part number on my break/ lunch and pictures later tonight if needed.). it is $662.59 brand new from MoT and Scambro, and around $530.00 with the TM3 parts discount from both dealerships.

my cousin Is going to a wreckers in pickering to look for one tommorow, and I will contact starks, standard ect. next week. (jimmy warned that I would be taking my chances with a used pan)

can anyone suggest a cheaper/alternative source for the oil pan?

thank you

Google and call hot spot auto parts. I'm not sure if they can get oil pans but its worth a shot.

yes, i can confirm standard auto wreckers has one for you has one in the back of the yard just for you. not sure on condition though... and not sure if its 2.3 or 2.0

it will be tricky to get out as the car is on top of another car...and the engine itself is now hanging on 2 mounts... but i would assume its your cheapest option if everything works out

That sounds great. Called up hot spot and part source and they don't have any. Thanks silverstarmazda I'll call them up and see when I can go out there.
My cousin is checking the yard in pickering while looking for 95 civic parts.
