Anyone ever have a bat fly inside their garage? I had one inside mine after I got out of my car last night. Didn\'t notice it until I wondered why the light was flickering a bit... looked up and jumped a bit when I first saw this small bird flying around. Only then i realized it isn\'t a bird because it wasn\'t flying into anything. Couldn\'t get it to fly out of the open garage door tho, saw it fly up into the side somewhere and that was the end of the show.

Questions; should I be calling someone to come get this thing out of the garage? I know bat crap is harmful to humans if in large quantities... this thing better not crap on my 3!!!

Also, I know bats won\'t attack a human for no reason but if this thing did decide to land on me or I somehow amazingly catch it, are there any diseases I should be knowledgable of before even trying to touch it?

Really cool animal tho... amazing how fast it reacts and avoids obstacles in its flight path. I was able to grab two pics of it but only one is a \"good\" look of the bat in mid flight. I\'ll post them soon.

Try leaving the door open for a while tonight and it\'ll probably fly out on its own. It probably found your door open and thought it\'d found a sweet cave to hang out it in. It\'ll need food soon enough so I\'m sure it\'ll be more than happy to leave and go hunting. Just be sure it doesn\'t come back with its buddies to set up camp. :D

As you probably know bats are nocturnal so he is definitely in there for the day. Leave your garage open over night and that will allow him to leave and there is a chance he will come back but not a good one. Plus bats are harmless. At least the ones that you would find in these areas.

Good to hear \"harmless\"... I\'m gonna try grabbing a ladder and getting up higher to see if I can find out where the bat is, tonight after work.

Not sure I\'d want to leave the garage door open all night tho. :)

EDIT; Got the pics, sorry but you\'ll need to copy and paste the URL\'s in order for the image to load...

Right into the house? Pretty interesting incident! Wondering how the heck it would have gotten in because for sure one of you would be near the door into the house in order for the the bat to fly in.

My bat cave (garage) seems to be empty now... boo :(
