Hey guys. My name is Jon. I'm actually no longer in Toronto, I moved to NB, but I wanted to join up anyway, because there's not many Cdn forums. My ride is a 2012 Mazda 3 GX SE "Carbon Fibre" edition (Mazda's website spells Fiber "Fibre"??). I've had it for while, but decided to re-join some of the forums I lost touch with. I used to have an 08 GT back in 08-10, and was heavy into the scene, but then got out of it. This new GX was originally a friends since new, so when he traded it in, I jumped on it.
only 700 were made. I can't remember how many were 5spd, but I think it was split in half?? Mine has OE steering wheel controls, bluetooth and tweeters, which you probably won't find on another.

Side note: I used to be a member here, but was never overly active. And no, I don't remember my screen name. Everything has changed, from where I live, my email addy, and the car I drive...so it's a new beginning for me.

Yeah, that's it! When he went in to originally buy one, he didn't even know about the CFs. He was about to settle for a base model w/no options....I was actually the one that was like "check this one out!". The dealer really didn't know what it was, they were just like "yeah, it's a GX, don't know why we got a couple with a black roof??"

I'll admit, I'm not diehard Mazda guy like my friend and the former owner was, but the guy at the dealer was also a friend....I got it wholesale for $10k with 28kms. They gave him $9500 for trade.
Welcome aboard! (again lol)

Serious question, how much do you feel you've wasted your money on an average set of rims and a vinyl roof considering the aftermarket resale value of those, and the actual cost of getting it wrapped later on. (Unless you did it for the rims, because those are hard to come by)
Welcome back OP!

Question for you, can you comprehend used car values? He didn't pay anything extra, and as far as cost goes he got a good deal (reaffirmed at vmrcanada).

Plus it will always be a Carbon Edition, no matter how cheap those same additions can be had aftermarket. That's what makes it special. Factory made special edition.
Welcome back Johnny.
