The other day after parking my car outside for 8-10 hours, I noticed the brake rotors with rust on them. Of course once I drove home (10km\'s) the rust seemed to be gone. Is this normal?

They probably should not have gotten rusted unless water was sprayed at them or it was very very moist out.
As another question, right below my rotors (between the rim of my tire and the actual rotor) there is rust.. is that normal or should I get them to check it? Car has Jan/04 build date.

that is probably drippage from the rusty rotar.
As far as I know, rust only shows up when the rotors get wet. it\'s because of the materials the rotors are made of, they oxidize very quickly when they come in contact with water.
The rust should dissappear once you step on the brakes a few times when driving. The brakes get hot, evaporate excess water and the pads clamping down on the rotor should remove the rust. Many cars have this problem, so many in fact that it is just considered the norm now. There may eba slight loss in performance and maybe a little squeek-age when braking with a rusty rotor. But like I said, after a few slowdowns in the car the rust should disappear.

Any vehicle parked outside for an exteneded period of time after it rains will have rust on the rotors. You only notice it more because you can see them through your rims.
