letting the car sit that long withouth trickle charging the battery is your problem. the system should never draw enoigh power to drain the battery. coming from an installer. youll want a new battery to. After a battery drops below 20% it never fully recharges again

my only problem is u cannot run a trickle charger in a condo no plugs. car is 2012 . already on my 2nd battery the crooks at Mazda of Toronto just replaced the battery , when I explicitly asked for a parasitic draw to be done. The mazda battery is basically useless. They installed it, and held the car for ransome , either pay the service charge or buy a battery, oh and the service charge coincidently was the price of the battery. it only 1 year replacement 1-2 years 50% at least buying at walmart, Canadian tire , Costco anwhere will give u minimally 3 years free replacement.

Good Luck.

But it could just be the crappy Panasonic battery Mazda uses.

I dunno about crappy. My OEM battery lasted me 8.5 years. ('05 car replaced the battery this past Jan or Feb).

And 4000K a year? Wow I thought my car had low km when I bought it (under 10K a year). why not drive it around a block a few times every couple days?

No offense at all but it almost sounds like you don't need a car, probably would be cheaper to rent one when really needed - given the price of depreciation and insurance.

If that's not an option for you, if you live in a condo and can't plug in a charger to your car's battery. One option would be buying a marine battery and a charger. You can start/charge your cars battery with the marine. I've started my car that way when it died from the cold (before I replaced it). Started on the first crank.
