Does posting maps work for anyone else? What is the hidden science to it? Or does it just not work with the latest version of google maps? I can't figure out how to get it to work.

For this example I am using the CN Tower. First I try copying the link in the address bar once I have the location on the map. I paste it in here and click the wrap tags button so it wraps around the link. Click preview and viola a map of the entire united states. w.t.f.

[MAP]https://www.google.ca/maps/place/CN+Tower/@43.642566,-79.387057,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x882b34d68bf33a9b:0x15edd 8c4de1c7581

Then I say okay maybe I need to copy the link else where. On google maps, I click the cog icon and click share and embed map. Under "share link" I copy and paste the link but it is the exact same link as in the address bar so again..

https://www.google.ca/maps/place/CN+Tower/@43.6434433,-79.3919172,17z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x882b34d68bf33a9b:0x15edd8c4de1c7 581

Maybe using the short URL..

Again U.S. Fooking eh

Then I figure I'll try the embed map section. I copy the I frame code and paste

Oh look its the entire planet earth. We're making real progress.
<iframe src="https://www.google.com/maps/embed?pb=!1m14!1m8!1m3!1d2887.2270949240437!2d-79.39191716284088!3d43.64344332810041!3m2!1i1024!2 i768!4f13.1!3m3!1m2!1s0x882b34d68bf33a9b%3A0x15edd 8c4de1c7581!2sCN+Tower!5e0!3m2!1sen!2sca!4v1404520 189704" width="600" height="450" frameborder="0" style="border:0"></iframe>

I try playing with the size and positioning and still

<iframe src="https://www.google.com/maps/embed?pb=!1m14!1m8!1m3!1d2887.2270949240437!2d-79.39191716284088!3d43.64344332810041!3m2!1i1024!2 i768!4f13.1!3m3!1m2!1s0x882b34d68bf33a9b%3A0x15edd 8c4de1c7581!2sCN+Tower!5e0!3m2!1sen!2sca!4v1404520 189704" width="800" height="600" frameborder="0" style="border:0"></iframe>

don't use the google maps code. When you create your post, click go advanced, then in the bottom row, third icon from the right is a map icon. Click that, ad put in the postal code. Voila.

Is there not a better way? In some cases it works pretty good

N2k2S1

But in others it covers a large area. And in this case for some reason it makes a difference if there is a space entered or not lol.

Wow, until I realized it was interactive, I was wondering how you got my G+ profile picture in the top corner, then I realized it is because I'm signed into Google :P

You could also screen shot the image no?
