I switched back to the stock antenna for now. I\'m finally picking up the Kia one tomorrow. It does need to be trimmed b/c the threads are inside the base of the antenna.

With my razor blade skills I trimmed the base just right. Reception is a lot better than stock but the same as the Aerio one.

Flipspeeds new stubby looks like the H2 one. Both have to be trimmed as well.

I like how they flow into the base nicely.

I don\'t know about the Kia/Suzuki antennas, but I\'ve been through a couple of carwashes with my H2 antenna and I haven\'t had to remove it once...it\'s quite flexible.

Personally, I don\'t like the rigid stubbies that you find on eBay, I bought two of them. I like the flexible stubbies like the one you\'ll find on the H2 or Honda Element or S2000 (go to the respective dealerships for those).

I went to a Esso touchless wash but I forgot to remove it before I went in. By the time the wash was done I saw the that they had a drop down dryer. I saw the dryer pass over the windshield and I was like ****!! I hear some loud bang on the roof and as I pull out I see the stubby on the ground. From now on I\'m only gong to coin-op washes. I get more for my money.

i like the aerio.. just need to wait a little for Joe to order.. H2 is nice form what i hea (and flexible)r.. but requires minimal cutting/trimming.. kia doesn\'t sounds as good as stock/aerio.. s2k stubby is very similar to H2 AFAIK..

s2000/element stubby is the same as the aerio.

the H2 is similar to the kia and the hyundai (tucson)

There\'s been a problem with the stubbies. I couldn\'t buy them from the new Suzuki owner\'s yesterday because they were doing their inventory. Now they want to charge me the regular price less 15%. Which in my opinion isn\'t worth it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

yeah i know its an old-ass thread but it was damn helpful.

i just picked up my aerio stubby at richmond hill suzuki (they had some in stock!) and its awesome.
i think it looks pretty slick, even though its a little wide at the base, and i\'m pretty sure
the reception is better than with the stock.
