Hi,

Anyone using Yak or Teksavvy internet/phone service? Any reviews? I have heard great things (Teksavvy), but also bad (both).

I like teksavvy. Been with them for a few years now. No issues.

Been with Teksavvy for a year now. Customer service is good. I've only had one issue with them where my internet went down, but that's due to the underground Rogers line outside my house being damaged. Would definitely recommend.

I have used Teksavvy too for over a year. Never had any issue with it, even during heavy winter storms. I would recommend it too.

If you get Teksavvy, msg someone on here (such as myself haha) and get a CID - if you say you were referred that person gets 1$ off / month forever.

Thanks everyone!

They run off of Rogers, so I think it will be fine going forward. Will keep the above in mind!

I use Teksavvy cable for ISP and aside from some issues in the first month of service I have always been happy with the quality of service. For home phone I would suggest Fido. It's the best non VoIP alternative cost and quality wise to a traditional landline.

I had no idea Fido offered home phone. Thanks!

I've had Teksavvy high-speed internet for 8 years.
Started off great, but, as the company expanded into other regions, speeds slowed down. A lot.
Furthermore, my monthly rate went up a few times to offset service expansions that yielded no benefit to me. (i.e.: expanding into Québec.)
Their customer service is, bar none, the best in the market. Can't beat that.
I'm now on Bell Fibe; faster, more consistent performance but twice as expensive.

The "Supported" ones are listed on Teksavvy's page.

I haven't been able to confirm but if you get a certain amount of people referred, you get free forever.

I've been with teksavvy about 6 years now and they've always been good to us. Living in Scarborough and Brampton and ajax, we've always gotten the promised speeds.

I don't know if they still do it, but CanadaComputers used to stock the TekSavvy modems. When i got both of mine (DSL then later Cable), they were a little cheaper than Teksavvy, came with the first month of service free, and saved me the install and shipping charges.
