Notes:
Westside Pre-Meet will be planned for one hour prior to commencing the official meet. More details on the pre-meet are available here (http://torontomazda3.com/forum/read.php?TID=472). Following the meet, there will be a barbeque hosted at Xenon\'s Residence. All members are invited to attend. There will be a cruise from the meet location (Kennedy Commons) to Xenon\'s Residence. Additional information regarding the BBQ and directions to Xenon\'s residence is found on Page 3 of this thread (http://torontomazda3.com/forum/read.php?TID=471&page=3).

Schedule of Events:
3:00 PM - Westside Pre-Meet, AMC Courtney Park, Mississauga
3:15 PM - Westside Pre-Meet Departs for Kennedy Commons, Scarborough
4:00 PM - Westside joins up with Eastside for the Official Meet
4:15 PM - TM3 Announcements
6:00 PM - Cruise Departs from Kennedy Commons, Scarborough to Square One, Mississauga
6:30 PM - Cruise Arrives at Square One, Mississauga to meet up with additional members coming to the BBQ
6:40 PM - Cruise Departs from Square One, Mississauga to Xenon\'s Residence, Oakville
7:00 PM - BBQ Commences

Reminders:
Bring your camera(s)! (Still and Video!)
Bring an FRS Handheld Communications Radio if you have one. It will be useful during the cruises.
Please Bring a printed sheet of paper with your Real Name; TM3 Handle; Make, Model & Trim of your car; and any mods done to the vehicle.

Location Information:
Meet location is in the parking lot, on the wast side of TD Canada Trust. This lot is immediately on the right when entering the Commons from Eastbound Hwy. 401.

Not too many... Our cars are too new. There aren\'t many major mods you can do to the 3\'s right now.

I\'m going to *try* to make this one...

it\'s easier for me to get to a eastside meet...but I am supposed to be going to a memorial service for my grandmother that day in Trenton...so it\'ll be a game of wait and see. Plus I\'ll have my son with me, which would equal hell to try and keep him busy..or a very quick drop-in.

I would doubt there are many mods. Simply because the car is new and has warrenty :)

A suggestion for meeting location.

Since this one appears to be a east-end meeting by the highway, why not meet at Mazda Canada\'s new headquarters. It\'s located right at Hwy 404 & 16th Avenue (16th is the 4th exit north of the 401). The parkinglot is available for anyone to just drive in, and there are typically just a few (around five) Mazda workers on a Saturday (and I\'m sure they wouldn\'t mind). Maybe they\'ll even give a tour of their new digs!

And yes, there\'s a Jack Astors (and other related restaurants) nearby.

We have default locations for our meets, which come into affect this meet in September. These have been implemented for simplicity.

Any change in location for a meet must be put to a vote with a majority approving the change.

Hi firstmazda,

Kennedy Commons is south east of Kennedy and the 401. It\'s a huge plaza with AMC theatres, Golf Town, Chapters, TD Bank, and a few other big stores. We will be in the parking lot of TD Bank. You can\'t miss us.

If you\'re on the 401 EAST-bound, exit Kennedy and stay in the \"straight\" lane (ie. crossing Kennedy, NOT turning left or right onto Kennedy). You will drive right past the TD on your right. First right, turn in and then another right to get into the parking lot.

We usually go out for the cruise two hours after (around 6pm we start cruising as a group). Those who are still able to stick around will go do something together (usually dinner).

If you\'re asking about Kennedy Commons area, there is a Sunoco just South of the Commons at Kennedy and Progress ...MAP (http://www.sunoco.ca/retail_detail.asp?station_id=6273) (on the East side of Kennedy)

That sounds like fun.... except the Downtown part. We are almost sure to be broken up Downtown with all the traffic and the lights. If we skipped that part went from DVP to Gardiner To QEW, that would be good.

So what says everyone to a cruise to theJack Astors Mississauga near Dundas & 403? There is also an Outback Steakhouse, Montana\'s, Mr Greek, Popeye\'s Chicken, some seafood restaurant that I can\'t remember the name of and a Manderin in the area.

It sounds like people like the long cruises, especially after the wonderful cruise to MOM.

Long cruises are a huge bonus! The looks we get from other cars... awesome! I wonder what\'s in their minds when they see a line-up of cars driving like that? I know I never saw that kinda thing before on the highway.

As for where to cruise to... as long as they serve beer :)

MAZDA3_MIKE has stated to me in a PM that he will most likely make the hike from Fort Erie to Scarborough to attend meet #5 (unless of last minute emergency of course). bubba1983, looks like you guys (with fat mike if he is coming) can have another mini cruise, maybe to meet up at 401 and Hurontario (north of 401 two blocks, Courtney Park AMC) around 3pm to cruise with our west side group to the main meet location.

firstmazda - no worries, i was wondering if you were still interested. I just sent an email to Jack about the slightly-used set of Motorola T5725. he told me a week or two ago that he still had a few sets available. I\'ll let you know here, once he replies (I invited him to come to Kennedy Commons, TD Bank parking lot, between 4pm and 6pm).

EDIT: Jack replied, he will bring a few sets to our meet on the 25th. $45 a set. They go for $89 at Best Buy/Future Shop I believe... note these are slightly used!!! :)

THE BBQ AT MY PLACE IS A GO. I have approval from my parents to have a BBQ at my house after the meet. Anyone is welcome to my house. It will be funny seeing my small little street taken over by Mazda3\'s.

Our Westide pre-meet is at 3:00 PM, we leave the AMC Courtney Park Lot at 3:15 sharp. If you can make to to AMC:CP by 3:15 then you are good. If not, you can cruise to KC and meet us there and cruise with us back to the BBQ if you want. If you JUST miss us, you can try to catch up with us... As on all of our cruises we will have FRS radios, Channel 3 (no sub-channel).

If you are not coming on the cruise later, but still want to come for the BBQ:

Using QEW (From the East):
Exit at FORD DR.
Turn LEFT at the off-ramp intersection.
Turn LEFT on KINGSWAY DR. (2nd set of lights)

Well I\'m going to try to make it for part of the meet, but any cruise or BBQ I doubt will be happening for me. I\'ll have to bring along my little guy, as my parents are gone for the day and I don\'t have anyone else to watch him.

So hopefully I\'ll be able to see you guys at 4!

Just want to mention a few things about the BBQ:

The Hot tub will be open, so bring your swimwear. Should be a warm 36 C :)

Feel free to bring whatever to the BBQ, foodwise. Bring what you have leftover from MOM (even the chicken wings!!!). Bring more if you like. Just in case I\'ll go out and buys some burgers or something, in case we don\'t have enough food.

Pool will be openn, and it will be heated, but because of the cold weather we have had for the last couple weeks, I\'m not sure how warm it will actually be, and whether the weather on saturday will be warm enough to swim in, but nevertheless, it is open if people want to swim.

I will have my computer handy to DJ some music for you people :D DJing is a hobby of mine. Feel free to bring any CDs or MP3\'s that you want to have played or mixed in at the party.

I think that\'s about it in regards to the BBQ.

Just a reminder to those Westside People: You don\'t have to go alone to the meet!!! Reminder that there is a Westside Pre-Meet at AMC Courtney Park, 3 PM Saturday.

Had a crappy day at work so put together a map to Kennedy Commons for those of you unsure of how to get to our location (attachment link at end of this msg, below my sig).

From the West, on 401
Exit Kennedy, at the Kennedy traffic lights, go straight, into the plaza roadway (notice the Casey\'s on your left, TD Bank on right, possibly a few Mazda3\'s lined up already), first right turn in and then a second right (you will now be in the parking lot).

From the East, on 401
Exit Kennedy, at the Kennedy traffic lights, turn LEFT (south bound). After passing through the underpass of the 401, second traffic light turn left. When you see another left that turns into a parking lot, go for it. :)

From the North and South on Kennedy
Turn east at the main plaza entrance off Kennedy (second light south of 401 underpass). Sorry I can\'t remember much details for this route. Once inside the main plaza roadway, make a left at the first parking lot entrance.

Take the 400 South, to 401 East, Exit at Kennedy. At the exit on Kennedy GO STRAIGHT. You will see the car meet immediately to your right when you enter the Commons.

I hope that helps :) See you there. If your timing is right, you might see the Westside members cruiseing to the meet too :D

A little update on the after-meet cruise. One of my friends wants to come to the BBQ, but because of her (that\'s right, she\'s a female) schedule, she cannot come to the meet with us, nor does she have a car.

I have made arrangements to meet her in a specific section of the Square One Parking Lot. This section is the lot just east of the Mississauga Transit Bus Terminal. If it\'s alright with everyone, we need to swing by that parking lot and pick her up. It would be nice to attract the attention of some people in their riced up cars too (we won\'t be there long enough to attract security, 10 mins max).

This also brings a nice opprotunity to those who live in the Westside and cannot attend the meet, but want to go to the barbacue. If you would like to join our cruise to the Barbacue, please meet at the Parking Lot, just East of the Mississauga Transit Bus Terminal (Across the street from Playdium). Be there NO LATER THAN 6:30 PM.

We have to cruise from Kennedy Commons to Oakville... that will take at least 30 mins. Pretty long cruise if you ask me.

Yeah I\'ve still got 2, Bluntman said he was interested in one as well but I\'m not sure he still is. I have them in the trunk so they\'ll be with me at meet #5. I have it installed so you can check it out then. Actually, I\'ll take a pic now and upload it to my imagestation account. Give me like 20 minutes and it\'ll be there. Look under September 24th.
