Thanks to Bluntman (who perked my interest in the ROH Fury) I upgraded to a set of these:

After a lot of thought (and budget constraints) I went with these tires, Fuzion ZRi:

Next is to put some winter tires on my stock 15\'s and sell the OEM Toyos :D

Corrected for a silly spelling mistake...

Where are you getting them from? And how much, if you don\'t mind my asking? Oh yeah, and what size did you get?

I\'m still thinking to have 18\" for mine, I went to CanTire there is Motegi (spelling??) wheel, it looks good and they didn\'t post the price.

I went with the 17x7 rim because if I went bigger I\'d more than likely damage them up on our cottage roads. I went to Wheels Direct and they offer rim/tire packages but I would have ended up with Kumho Ecsta 711\'s and I wanted something different. To \'upgrade\' from the 711\'s to the ZRi\'s I had to go with a 225/45/17 because Fuzion doesn\'t make a tire in a 205/50/17. Changing tires and size bumped the price up $150. On the road with wheel locks it came to $1850 cash.

You got the Yokohama AVS ES100\'s right? They\'re about $50 more per tire and that would have blown my already stretched budget.

Post some pics, those rims are sweeeeeeet!!!!!

They are the exact same rims as Bluntman\'s, and they do look awesome on the car. In my opinion the colour of the rims goes perfectly with the titanium grey. Although, they\'d be pretty hot on any Mazda 3. At first I thought they might be a bit heavy but they are the same weight as the stock 17\" rim. I\'m trying to make it to a meet but so far every one has conflicted with plans I already have. :(

do you have any pics of them on the car? I think would look absolutley stunning in 19\" but then youd be running on elastic bands for tires.

At the moment I don\'t have any pics. When I got them put on last week I didn\'t have any time to wash the car. The tires had greasy paw prints all over them from the installers so I figured I\'d wash the car and clean the tires up first. I\'ll have pics this week for sure.

EDIT:

I added a few shots I took after work. I still haven\'t washed it and the car\'s a mess but from far away it doesn\'t look too bad. :)

Look under the September 7 additions for today\'s shots.

Hello,

Well, after so much search, I think I finally found my new wheels!

They look really good on the Tit. Grey Mazda3! That\'s the color I chose too.

What color are your wheels? Is it silver or black ice? I guess it is black ice but I just want to be sure.
Did you see the silver one in real? I wonder if the color is similar to the stock wheels.

Thanks!

You can\'t buy them anymore. Dr. Butcher bought the last set available, anywhere. He had to bribe the manufacturers to make him another set. They did it even after I told them to destroy the blueprints! :D

Damn, I really wanted those wheels!

Maybe you could sell yours! What color are they? If they don\'t make them anymore, it\'s a good investment! It\'s like those old chromed Kragar wheels, now everybody with a Mazda3 would love to have them.

Seriously, what color do you have? Did you see the silver ones? I saw them on a couple of websites and they look like chrome. :-P

Look at this website:
http://www.dragracing.com/product.asp?prodid=2123&catid=141

I would like to order some silver and to receive some \'80 style chromed wheels. I don\'t think they would fit with my titanium grey car.

Thanks!

Martin

Martin, I didn\'t want to go too bling but here\'s the Fury in chrome, silver and shadow chrome:

The silver finish will match the finish of the stock wheels. The Doctor and I have the wheels in what the manufacturer calls \"Chrome Shadow\", a toned down, darker version of the chrome finish. If I didn\'t see the \"Chrome Shadow\" I would have definitely picked the silver finish, I\'m not too keen on coloured or chrome rims. The chrome finish must have been something that ROH recently introduced.

They called my wheel colour black ice, they\'re not quite as dark as the shadow chrome. It looks like the chrome colour but but they\'ve got a satin type finish. :)

I still like these too

ROH Reflex. I had these on my 97 Toyota RAV4 (16x8) and on my 91 Acura Integra GS Coupe (15x7).

Thanks for the pics. The silver looks a lot like the original wheels, which is not bad at all! I will try to find a shop who has the two colors in stock. Maybe they could order one of each.

I like the look of the car on the home page of the forum. What kind of wheels is that?

I\'m still trying to choose between silver and black ice. Why is life so hard? ;-)

I realized I mistyped in my previous post. I meant \"I would not like to receive chromed wheels\". It would be an offense to put chromed wheels on a M3. :-)

Doc,

How are you finding the Fuzion ZRi tires? I heard that they are actual rebadged Bridgestones and have the Uni-T technology. I read some reviews on the internet and everyone seems pleased with their performance and bang for the buck. I was considering getting Kumho\'s 712 when I move up to 18\" next summer but MajesticBlueN suggested the ZRi\'s. Now that you\'ve had them for a while, what is your review?

You have a post in Buy & Sell already, I don\'t think you need to mention it again. :sarc

Red, I love them.

At first I had to get used to the wider, lower profile tire over the stock 15\'s as they sometimes \'track\' into road grooves which can be a little unnerving. I don\'t know if this happens with the stock 17\'s or not. Driving in the rain is great, I have yet to hit a puddle and have them pull to one side or hydroplane. Noise wise they are comparable to to the stock 15\'s I had which is pretty good considering I went from a 195 to a 225. In dry conditions they are awesome, in the 3 weeks I drove on the 15\'s I locked up a rear wheel 2 times, since I\'ve been driving on these, never. Also they have a recessed rim guard, the rim is sunk back from the sidewall to help in case you manage to curb the tire. I also find the tread design to be pretty sexy. :)

Ben at Wheels Direct said that they don\'t have the longest tread life but he was basing his information on info he\'d gotten from guys who race. I expect mine\'ll last longer. They don\'t make a tire in the 205/50R17 size, I had to go to a 225/45R17 which fits in a 7-8 inch rim.
