Ok so I have a 2007 Mazda 3 and it's rear right window won't stop when it's supposed to it gets to the top and it's like it's skipping teeth and it makes a horrible noise just the same for going down..... Do I need to replace the actuator or is there some sort of switch that's supposed to tell the window when to stop?
Thanks in advance!

Generally the windows have a stop limit. You set this by holding the power window button in either up or down position for a few seconds after they close or open fully to set the limits.
You shouldn't hear any grinding noise unless there is a problem with the gears in the motor.

Thanks for the reply, I have read this but there is definitely some sort of grinding ticking noise when it either hits the top or the bottom

without seeing or hearing this noise and going by what you described, it sounds to me like a window regulator. Generally when they start to go they make one heck of a racket.
