Hey guys,

I was wondering if you can help me with two quick things for the second gens.

1) To the left of your steering wheel where you have the button for traction control you also have 3 other smaller squares and a larger one. Is anyone able to tell me what the 3 other buttons are uses for? I just want to put a switch in one of them and don't want to put it in place of a feature I may want to add in the future (if possible). I found a pic but its too far away to read. Mine is a 2012 GX and the only button I have is for the TC.

2) For those of you who have removed the silver plastic trim piece to paint or wrap, does it just pull straight up? I managed to get the far left corner up but couldn't budge the side closest to the steering wheel. Just want to make sure its not supposed to slide out or pull up.

Thanks.

The buttons are options like AFS or BSM, and the whole piece pops up, not just the silver.

Okay great, I wouldn't have known it all comes up as one.

Any screws or bolts holding it in? Or is it just clips that pop up?

Just clips, but the blank buttons are all part of a circuit board.

Oh I see, I was hoping to run the gain adjustment knob from my amp in place of one of these buttons. Is that still possible or will I need to find another method? I was hoping to just pop one of those black covers off and trim it to fit a knob. If there is a circuit board behind there I'm thinking it won't be that easy.

Only the big one on the right is able to be made a button of. We did it on greyseason for his footwells.

I have placed both my amp remote control dial and a switch into that area. I'll toss up a pic in a sec.

Yeah I ended up using that larger switch for my gain knob.

Appreciate the help.
