Can my driving aggressively and accelerating hard really affecting my mileage that badly?

Pic from Aug 19th, almost all city road driving and yes that is 416.9km since fill-up and the engine light just came on maybe .1 or .2 km before the pic;

EDIT: Seems the pic won\'t display, copy and paste this URL; http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid136/p1c268017bfcaa4516ffbdde78e04051c/f756c884.jpg.orig.jpg

That was the worst fill-up mileage so far... the rest I\'ve been getting like 24 to 26MPG... which is still bad compared to the better readings some ppl have posted.

I usually take off from a traffic light or stop sign to keep up with most traffic. I don\'t race other drivers. The A/C is sometimes on.

Any comments? Thx!

I\'ve been getting that about that, and I have an Auto Tranny...

Usually I can go about 450 km before the light comes on tho.

I think you should ease up the gas pedal:D :D

even in winter time, my light come out at around 420-430km with almost all city drive, now in summer, it comes out at around 550km, if I drive more on 407 at 140 w/ ac on most of the time, it comes out at 570km.

Aggressive driving affects my mileage. Driving with the AT in Auto mode, I average about 500km on full tank (45L). Just recently I was doing no less than 140 on the highway and having lots of fun with the Sport mode shifting. For example, I\'d downshift a lot to have that extra power when passing cars, so it kept my revs high. Driving like that I got about 440km on a full tank (45L). So I think it kinda affects my mileage. Not that I do this everyday, but once in a while it\'s fun. :)

Thx guys, I think it\'s definitely my having too much fun with this car; first manual tranny for me, and it\'s a Mazda3. Bad combo for good fuel economy...
