A friend of mine's car. MZ3 like mine. Front right caliper keeps seizing. Had to replace front rotors and pads 4 times in the last 3 years. Replaced caliper as well. Once again seized and now needs to do the front rotors and pads again.
What could be causing this in the brake system? Because it's a repeated problem. Repaired caliper, then replaced caliper, then again caliper gone.

the slider pin is most likely not being greased/lubed properly. they need a special type of lube
i use to use this, DO NOT USE THIS on the slider pins.it says you can use it on the sliders but it gets thicker and thicker and and eventually doesnt do anything.

USE THIS, its purposely made for brakes and so far i like it

3M Silicone Paste (dielectric grease) works well for caliper pins... does not dry out, handles heat well... that graphite black grease **** bakes on and causes caliper pins to seize up worse than no grease at all

And if the sliders are greased properly but they are still having difficulty sliding, check the hole that the rubber slider boot is in. My rear calipers had some sort of corrosion/white build up that was pushing down on the boot making the hole substantially tighter for the slider to do its thing

my rears where filled with this, even causing my passenger side to barely move. the bushing were simply warped because of it. i think it might be salt build up but when i check my front calipers there weren't any.... what is this?
i just took out the bushings, sanded down the white stuff and replaced the bushings with a bit of grease to hopefully displace whatever the white stuff is.

But repeated on the same side, despite rebuilding and then even replacing calipers over and over again? Could it be something in the braking system as a whole?

When you say replace caliper are you replacing the hanger as well? Or just the caliper? I use this on brakes all day long.
