my gen 1 mz3 has about 145k on it and it time to do a bunch of suspension/break work on it.

Already picked up OEm rotors and pads for the front and back.

My question is I'm also replacing the front control arms and stutrs.

The struts I'm going with Koni oranges or (str.ts) - and H&R springs- replacing stock - where should I order from? (I was thinking Tirerack.com - if it matters I live in St. Catharines Ontario..

For the LCA should I order from rock auto ? or doe you guys suggest somewhere else ?

And whats the difference between the $100 Moog LCAs and the $60 Moog LCAs ?

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=4203912&cc=1434568

Any suggestion appreciated.

Anything else I should be replacing at the same time ? I believe I will aslo be ordering the strut mounts as well - the old ones looks kinda sad

i went to part source to get my moog lower control arm because they had the best price out of everyone i called. plus they were the only ones who carried moog (and canadian tire), while everyone carried some other unknown brand. quick search revealed that these other brands are known for faulty ball joints. part source also has sales often where you buy one get one 1/2 off

as for the differences in those two control arms, im sure on is for the speed 3 which might have stiffer bushings

silverstarmazda -Which LCA did you get the R series or higher CK, and how much if you don't mind me asking?

buckethead99 -The CK 'Problem solver' has several improvements over the R series; powder coated, better re-packable bearing and bushings etc....well worth the extra $40

You might want to check out the trailing arm bushings for wear and also the torsion bar bushings.

Mine all need replacing, struts/shocks both LCDs, TA bushings etc....guess I had to expect it at 245k doe. :)

Where did you get your Moog LCAs? The trouble I'm fnding is I want to order from within Canad to avoid duty and crazy shipping charges.

I've also decided on a set of Koni Str.t's but again I'm wary of ordering from the states (duty, taxes, shipping rates). Any suggestions on where to order from within Ontario ?

I think he mentioned he got them at PartSource, but Crappy tire carries their line also.

Yup, but they still compete.

Just priced out OEM LCAs with 15% TM3 discount at $172 each, for comparison.
