Hey guys I am new to this forum, so hello everyone! I have a 2006 Mazda 3 hatch and am going to be upgrading my OEM halogen lights to hids. Gonna be changing lowbeam to 6000k and fogs 3000k all 35w. I have been doing lots of research and it narrowed down to ddm tuning. Hear good things about em and for $30 a kit and lifetime warranty, why not! How many of you guys bought your hids from ddm and did you get charged any duties. I live in Mississauga. Thanks everyone!

I bought them years ago when they were 100$ shipped with the wiring harness. Was very happy with them. One of my friends bought the 30$ kit a few years later for his Audi and was also very happy.
At 30$ I would be very surprised if u got dinged with duties, just make sure u ship via post and not like UPS

Because if they mark it as a gift I have up to $60 in value and as other only $20. So hopefully I don't get charged. anyone else who has recently bought ddm kit and get charged duties?

I bought from them 3 times now. Have their 35w kits in my low's and fogs for my '05. The first set of bulbs lasted 3 years before one of them died. Popped in the spares bulbs I ordered along with the original kit and off I go like new. For the price, you can't really go wrong. My friends and I have never been dinged by customs yet even on orders up to $200. I strongly suggest buying spare bulbs for the future cause the shipping is not that cheap to just buy replacements at a later date or you can try to claim warranty. Have fun with that though, I've never tried. For $15 for spares, it's worth saving time and not having to wait for new ones to come. I even ordered another kit as a backup when I needed a new relay. Now that I have my Gen3, they are kinda useless. I should sell them lol.

Just remember the good old 3 week wait.
They seem to always take that long to ship.

Look Into getting capacitors for your HIDs if your going low beams.
When your DRL are on your HIDs will flicker and cause them to fail prematurely.
They usually cost about $10 on eBay, or I believe you can get a harness (works for some people but wouldn't work properly for me)

I have no capacitor in mine and I'm running full hids. No problems at all.

The Gen1's are different especially the 04-06 where the DRL's are the lo beams. The lower current will cause the HID bulbs to flicker. Like mine, he would need a capacitor.

ya guys for my lowbeams i bought a relay harness to draw power from the battery and with the protection of the inline fuse. i also got 2 capacitors of ebay to keep my drl. for fogs you just need the hid kit nothing else.

ive ordered thru them numerous times. their kits far outlived the orginal Prolumen kit (that i paid $300 for back in '08). i think when all is said and done, it's about $60/kit, so i normally buy a couple kits/bulbs to save on shipping.
it does take a while to ship, as they come from chingchongping china.
edit: i never used any relays or fuses or anything like that on my mazda. just the straight kit, never had any problems.
