Well I decided to take my car in because I have having some squeeking from the brakes, and also my airbag like on the console was coming on, even though there wasn\'t anything in the seat. Nothing I was terribly worried about, but I figured, I had to go in to drop off some paperwork, so I\'d see what they had to say. The guy started saying they had updated this and that for all the TSB\'s (which I\'ve read ahead of time anyways). The guy was treating me like a total POS. Perhaps because I\'m female, perhaps because I\'m young..perhaps because he thinks I\'m one of those girls who knows nothing about cars..hell, maybe just because he was having a bad day, but I was so appalled. Turns out my car has the updated calipers, so I asked the guy \"then why is it squeeking all the time\" to which he looks at me as if I\'m a stupid kid and says \"well, I don\'t know, I\'d have to ask the guy in the technical dept, and they\'re not in right now\". And he handed my keys to me and said \"have a nice day\".
End of story..no other explanation...no I\'ll call you and find out what we can do for you...no nothing. I seriously wanted to give the guy a piece of my mind, but sadly, I\'m not like that. He was an older gentleman too..not some young punk on a power trip.
I figure, I\'ll give them one more chance. If they treat me like that again, I\'m going elsewhere...I wish I lived near more Mazda dealers :(
Avante is really good. And they\'re cool with mods too. :)
Not to mention 17% club discount on parts.

Hey,
I have had the same issues with Ajax and Whitby Mazda. I live just north of Bowmanville so my options are quite limited. I dont want to drive 45min(No traffic) downtown to get service done on my car. I am going to write a formal complaint to Mazda HQ and complain about the complete lack of customer service at both of these locations. I am a Financial Advisor with TD Canada Trust and I have been telling all of my clients to stay as far away from those dealers as possible. I hated GM cars, but the service I recieved from Ontario Motor Sales (a Chevrolet dealer in Oshawa) was incredible. I think this may be the last Mazda I ever buy, unless Mazda cleans up their act. I love this car but for all this trouble, i\'m not sure its worth it.
Mike.

I\'d love to go to Avante, as I\'ve heard almost all good things, and with Flipspeed working there. But unfortunately driving all the way into Toronto for some maintenance is a bit much. Ajax is right down the street from my work, which is why its more convenient for me...otherwise I wouldn\'t be going there.
It sucks because the options are in Toronto, but I don\'t want to have to drive 45 min. to get work done.

I was thinking about also writing. I was already a bit upset during the process of buying the car, but when it came to service, I was past the breaking point. I didn\'t just spend $30,000 to be treated like crap, and be left in the dark about my new car.
I\'m not a huge fan of GM stuff either (although I\'ve owned about 3 of them), and even I had excellent service when I bought my last car from Nurse in Whitby. I\'ve heard good things about OMS too. Its sad, but I guess thats how car sales works...often why I always bought used in the past too.
