Hey! I'm a new user here hailing from Milton (although I've lived in Toronto for over 10 years of my life) and as I posted elsewhere on the site I'm going to make a purchase of a Mazda 3 soon (within the next month!) because screw the Go Bus, I'd rather take the $400 a month I pay elsewhere!

So hopefully I can re-edit this thread once I get a car to show off what I got... Oh also if anyone can hand me any ammunition to prove to my dad that a Mazda 3 (especially this gen) is better then the boring VW Golf, that would be greatly appreciated :P!

Hi! I'm looking into the sedan-shaped Mazda 3 GS 2014-15 new or demo. It's my first car and I'm going the route of leasing. I personally don't have any cash on hand to buy a used car, but I'm making enough to keep up with payments. Plus my dad doesn't want a used anyways, wants me to go the route of leasing like he does for his car and my mom's car plus he's taking care of insurance (first year driver lol) and helping me with gas so it's all good! My family has strong roots with Mazda, my pop's first ever car was a 1992 Mazda 323 hatch, and the first 2 cars he had in Canada was a 2001 and 2005 MPV so I'm just trying to keep the tradition alive ;)

Sounds good. I wouldn't mind driving a demo car.. :chuckle They're fully loaded. I remember test driving a MZ3 2014 Demo, real nice!

I wouldn't mind it either! Especially given the fact that a lot of the charges are wiped and the car price itself is notched down significantly (and possibly negotiated a bit lower as well) it would really help lease payments

Fantastic! Yep across from WalleyMart. Look forward to it. Good luck on your exams. :D

In regards to leasing....
It is better to lease a 2015. Residual values are higher and it makes payments lower. We have 2 demos left, but they don't offer the leasing program on them anymore. You will be getting a 2015 at this point. It is often not beneficial to lease a demo due to the mileage. New 2014's are no longer available anyhow.

Yikes, how much is an automatic GS lease generally around for on 36 months? I know the GX manual is 89 bi-weekly with 995 downpayment

It's not that scary. Don't worry. We can discuss it when the time comes and I'll explain everything. You'll likely be eligible for our Grad program which will help.

FYI when they do ads like that....Always a base manual with no air and no taxes. Expect it to be a little higher, but not high enough to give you a heart attack. Otherwise we wouldn't sell any.

I don't think I'll be eligible for that program because it won't be under my name, or could it still be worked out?

We will sort it out when the time comes. They have specific rules. I'll do everything I can to ensure I'm pricing it out properly. Just get your A's and come see me already. lol

Good idea to lease a demo.. I wouldn't keep it for the long haul... and then all your discounts are realized in the short term payment.

Also going with a 3yr lease will save you a bit of money.. saves you on investing in a warranty to cover that 4yr year.

I am at Mazda of Toronto if you want to compare quotes..

Best of luck with your purchase.

I was eyeing a couple of your demos actually, you had one that was 16k in mileage actually. Just out of curiosity, how do you rack up that many KMs in a demo?? Also I probably won't be keeping it for the long haul, most likely I'm jumping to another car at the end of the lease term

Demos are normally provided to the sales team (if they need a car) as a work perk... So they drive it to and from work daily.. 16k isn't much. just make sure that leasing it won't put you into a km crunch later.

I'm glad you mentioned that. 16k is almost a years worth of driving. On a Lease, especially a low km it could seriously backfire.
