I haven\'t heard of any cosmetic changes aside from the addition of a Carbon Grey and the deletion of the Sunset Mica Orange.

The only differences are going to be the colors like bluntman said, also Winning Blue is going to be available on the sedan and Orange is still going to be available for the sedan but not the sport.
And the price is going up!!!!!!

I tried finding out how much the price increase would be but not everyone agrees there\'s going to be one. The best answer I got was from a Mazda rep and he said a price increase will happen but maybe not right away, maybe around Jan. He said it would be at least a couple of hundred more.
Also, the purple/blue color will be available for the sport.

Yeah the Indigo Blue will be available for the sport. Expect a price increase as well like someone mentioned earlier.

C&D Oct issue, there is no change for 3, but don\'t mention color changes.
In US, Toyota has increased prices for 4-5%, so we may have similar increase?

Just ordered an \'05 and the inital MSRP (before negotiating commenced) was the same as the \'04. The finance rate however has been rollercoasting. Don\'t remember what it was for the \'04 originally, but in August it dropped to 2.9% to clear out the remaining \'04s (it didin\'t apply to 2005s). If you order a 2005 its back up to 5.9% I think. I\'m pretty sure the finance rate will go up even more to keep pace with inflation and the central Bank of Canada increases. Same goes for the lease rates.. but these are just my guesses. As for the MSRP of the car itself going up, if you buy now, its the same.. as for the future, its anyones guess.

I heard that if you buy an \'05 now when they still have \'04\'s and haven\'t received full shipments, it\'s the same price but once all the \'05\'s arrive the price will be going up.

There will be no price increase for 2005. The sedan has 2 new colors Carbon Grey and for the GT the Winning Blue Mica. For the Sport Indigo Blue will be available.

oohhhhh carbon grey. Thats gonna be sex on wheels. I wasnt a big fan of the Tit Grey but I like the darker one. This is pretty unheard of a manufacturer giving customers a choice of TWO different greys.

I was willing to wait for a 2005 one because they had no more Arctic White\'s. But I am soooo happy with my colour and 2.9% financing :D so it all worked out.
Regarding the colour if you keep second guessing yourself and going to back to your first choice. You just answered your own question

Yeah, well my first choice was Velocity Red, then Arctic White. Also liked Winning Blue, but didn\'t know how it\'d look on the sedan. Finally settled with the Sunlight Silver. Still having doubts, though. Hmm... :sarc

I don\'t think so.... IMO there are 2 reasons why Mazda won\'t do it...
1) The Mazda3 2.0 L is already a fuel efficiency leader in it\'s class.
2) it would put the cost of the 3 too high. We\'d be easily looking at over $32,000 for a Mazda3 Hybrid with no options.

If Mazda was to bring out a hybrid vehicle it would be the Tribute first. Mainly because the Escape hybrid is coming out. You never know though with Mazda.

If they can develop a hybrid it better have remote trunk release (and heated seats) http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/sly.gif

so i went to the oakville dealership.. all they had on the lot were TiGreys and SunsetSilvers..
anwyay.. i asked one of the salesmen what carbon gray looks like - he said he had no idea.. he also said that the brochure for \'05 wasn\'t available and he didn\'t even have the sample patch for carbon grey..
he also said that the sedans will NOT come in winning blue but hacthes will come in indigo blue..
he said that the MSRP will remain the same but financing will be 5.9%
ok so he\'s half on the ball.. FLIPSPEED said that the sedan will come in winning blue.. and i trust him more :D so what gives?
maybe he needs to be retrained my mazda canada :p

Well dealerships are usually full of shit to be honest.
In Calgary, we have the brochures already.
The Carbon Grey is similar to the Mz6 grey. Almost black. I was hoping for more of a Volkswagen Jetta grey but I haven\'t seen the color in real life. The brochure is junk as well. The color palette is the same style as the 2004 brochure and it deson\'t really give you a true color for the car.
As for winning blue, it is offered on the Sedan (GT version only). So your dealer needs to go back to elementary school.

Well you\'re lookin\' at a parts guy who actually does his research. I know a lot of things even way before a lot of these salesman do.

C&D always skips over minor changes - I remember back in \'94 when the MX3 had a complete redo of the interior there was not one mention of it. Simple things like colours and some minor details aren\'t worth the $$ to print. I think it also depends on what the mfr tells C&D.
