Came across this on Facebook. Don't know if it's one of the members on this board. Sucks regardless.... so keep an eye out:
"Mazda 3 2011 black hatch stolen at hurontario and dundas plaza. If you see it message me ASAP or call me at 6476296678 thanks. It has mitsubishi lancer rims with mitsubishi center cap and winter tires. Got the front plate on the tow hook driver side. It has avs window visors and has an hks exhaust with blue tip. It has black plate cover and has led lights for the plate lights and for parking lights as well. It's plate number is BVVY 475"

It sucks but it was another vehicle warming up theft. If you're not gonna lock your car or watch it it's almost your fault for leaving it out there on with the keys & not watching it. Wasn't stolen because of the type of car was stolen because it was easy to.

Just curious... Why do you think it got stolen because it was warming up? No where in his post did he say that.

Thanks for the one who started this thread. Thanks for the calls and messages I've received as well. And yeah it is definitely my fault for starting it up and leaving it but anyway here is the whole story. I left my workplace to start up the car and the car was like 10 steps away from the door. I left it for a minute or less to grab something from my workplace then went right back out to see it gone. The door that I entered which I have mentioned was a few steps away from the car literally. It was gone in a flash. It happened at 4 in the afternoon yesterday. Things do happen and unexpected things do happen so hope you understand my situation. I immediately called the cops about the incident. And me and my coworker roamed the area not seeing even a glimpse of it. It's a very devastating incident for me and I went crazy for a good 10 minutes before the officer came. I had it for only 3 months and I'm fairly new to the forum thing and much of a Facebook guy so I haven't posted here. Hopefully I'll get to be together with my genpu. And details and pictures of my car is on my fb and I'm sorry cuz I couldn't post pics but do visit my fb. Details on the car is it has hks exhaust with blue tip, avs window visors corksport tow hook plate. LEDs lights for the plate lights at night and led lights for the interior and parking lights too. It has lancer rims with mitsubishi center cap on winter tires.

Hi John, I'm the guy who messaged you on Facebook ("Scene Enthusiast" / JH Motorsports).
I frequent that area (Hurontario/Dundas) pretty often as both my Doctor and hair stylist are on the northwest corner of that intersection.
Which plaza was it taken from?

Sorry to hear man. Fault or not, it always sucks to see something like this happen. Hope you and your car are reunited. My parents live in Mississauga so I'll keep an eye out when I'm out there visiting.

Still missing. Got a hold on my insurance company. They'll be assessing the price of my car. Sucks is that most receipts of the stuff ive done to the car is compiled on my car manual in my dash. Havent heard anything from the police yet and its been a week. Although they did make an effort of putting more cruisers around the area after the incident but still nothing. :((((( nice year ahead of me eh. Nice birthday gift to me by that thief too. Fml

Some insurance companies have programs where you plug something into your OBD port and they can monitor your driving habits etc and give you discounts based on that.
A plus is that that some of these devices also has a GPS built in and I know cases were stolen vehicles were recovered fairly quickly because such device was installed.

I have one for my car... I kinda thought about that GPS Tracker being built there hence why they can monitor your driving habits? I also heard it tracks your mileage and how far you drive... Etc....

I've got someone in mind on who stole my genpu. There's been a tandem lately that drives an Acura tsx with no plate lights around the area and is checking and looking closely at the cars that are started while parked. These guys are frequenting the place but my friend haven't got the plates yet. If anyone would like to like go with me lol and follow them to piss them off once I get my other car insured. Message me. I wanna get back on these a holes

I think its time for a TM3 stakeout party. Have a bunch of members stationed throughout the area and keep an eye out for these guys. then we follow them and take turns doing so so the same car isnt following them the whole way there.

Just don't confront the person yourself .. You have no idea if he is armed or not...

A bit extreme but could be the case none the less.
Have someone with you just to be safe

If there is a car that goes around.. Write down the description of the car.. Everything you can even if you write down "tinted windows, black steelies, mudflaps, lowered vehicle.." Better description the better the police can find them and question them to see if there is a link between them and what Police calls them "warm-up thefts." Just to be on the safe measure...
I think there might be enough reasonable grounds to follow them but making sure that there is enough distance for your safety

Thanks for the ups still. Although i was pretty much pre occupied with dealing with my civic2002(my first car)lol I'm just finishing up things I need to repair on my car since I havent used it for about 6 months. But after ive dealt with my car issues I'll be on the look out at the plaza for the black tsx with a bit of faded paint as said by my friend and has no plate lights. Its black and has dim headlights too. Ill be on a look out for a week and ill definitely let you guys know if this guys still frequent the area and maybe we can set something up. And yeah i dont plan on getting shot or something thats why i just wanna follow the car and confirm for myself if what my friend said was true. As for why my friend wasnt able to see the plates is that he has low or poor visibility as he is entering his 50's lol and definitely tired from work at the bakery. Just to let you guys know, if youre looking for me in the area i have a silver civic with roofrack parked next to my friends blue lancer with tinted lights. Its beside newin center and beside manila bakery from where we work. And again ill hit you guys up if something comes up. If we manage to report these guys, we'll end up having a reward from crime stoppers as said by my professors lol, am currently a police foundations student too
And theres still no calls from the cops or anything related to my car. Its probably shipped somewhere or parted out already at some junkyard. Ill probably be considering looking at junkyards as well but idk

Damn sorry guys. I'm not that much into the forums as I'm more into Facebook. Police found my car at etobicoke. Nothing was taken off from it but was 50 bucks off the glove box. Insurance paid it off but the priced they've put on was depreciated so we have to pay a little bit more. I've spent about more than a grand for mods but yea it's gone now. Hope to come to one of your meets even tho I don't have a mazda 3 anymore. I hope I can pop by with my crv or civic and still be welcome lol. Anyway thanks to you guys for keeping me going and for looking out. Sucks I can't bring my mazda at a meet. Idk how to put up pics but I did post a pic of when I saw my car when it was retrieved at etobicoke. And yea the guy with the tsx is still roaming around so be on the look out. And yea if anyone is interested I looted my weather techs front and back and would sell it for a good 100 bucks mind you I just used it for 3 months well 4 months including the stolen time off it lol. And yea thanks guys. Hope the fb page would be active just as the forums. Add me up on fb or call me bout the mats 6476296678 John Frantz Atienza. I'll definitely consider getting a speed 3 but even tho I pay for my car and insurance I still live off my parents so I think we're getting a caravan LOL
