Currently everything is stock on my 2010 Mazda 3 hatch 2.5L.

So every works fine but I want a louder sound from my exhaust. I have a pretty low budget roughly around $100.

Some people have told me to straight pipe my car but I'm not sure on what that does to be honest (still a rookie)

And if in the future i wanted to sell my car or trade it in to the dealer whether that would affect the cars value.

Oh and does it impact the cars performance? Increase or decrease in torque/horsepower? That's pretty important to me. If it stays the same cool. If I lose power I'd rather not take that route.

Also what other alternatives are there?

All i really want is a bit more sound doesn't have to be too loud but that is also okay.

I dont have the $$$$ for a new exhaust system i just want that nice sound we all love.

Thanks guys.

here is a spoon

Sounds like youre in the market for a mazdaspeed3 muffler. they go on sale quite often here and they bolt right up. Gives the car a much nicer sound which you can find on here or youtube. Should be around the price youre looking for.

It will look just like stock and a dealer would be hard to notice or care.

Your butt dyno will tell you it increased the power

Alternatively, you can get a resonator or muffler delete for around that price range.

I was in the same situation as you a few weeks ago and decided to go with a resonator delete which I'm very satisfied with... for now:P

I had my mazdaspeed muffler bought for $100,, that bolted straight up and for another $99 at muffler man they did my resonator delete, overall it's pretty loud, and it does also feel like an increase but that's according to my butt dyno

So resonator delete simply is the removal of the restonator and putting a straight pipe in its place?

Yes, but if you plan on selling in the future, know that the resonator (should) be welded back in. Honestly, a MS3 muffler bolts RIGHT UP and shouldnt take long at all to install

Don't know how people are finding mazdaspeed exhausts out there for $100 but I guess there are fools out there always willing to sell things cheap

It was a while ago but I do remember not spending more than $120 for the cat back exhaust, I was pretty happy with the price

Sorry kinda confused. Am i looking for the full exhaust system? Or just the muffler which gives out the 2 tips?

Getting the full exhaust doesn't make a difference you just want the rear muffler with two tips

Keep an eye out, although Winter isnt exactly the time people starting getting rid of these. If you cant find one wait until its warmer when the speed guys replace their stock exhausts and you'll see plenty up for sale

So after looking around for a while i found a seller on the forums and purchased the speed 3 axle back from him. Then took it to the shop got it installed and also got a resonator delete.

Sounds amazing and tips are much bigger then the stock ones which gives it a more aggressive look

Thanks to greyseason for the helpful advice.
