Hello,

I am new to the forum and even to Mazda! Just got my '12 Mazda 3 2.5 Hatch back last week.

Just a concern..

How much should I worry about rusting? I plan on getting it Krowned soon.

Thanks!

Welcome aboard!

Regular rust-proofing is all you can do. Not much else you can do now that you've got the car. Treat it well, and enjoy it!

Keep it clean. During the winter take it to a coin wash at least once every 2-3 weeks to get the salt off.

go to Krown to get the car sprayed

touch up paint
i clean the car weekly in the winter. i dont want that salt/brine caked up on the car's paint
Canadian Tire sells Rust Check spray cans

i also have a 2012 Mazda3. No signs up rust

Krown your car once a year. Lakeshore krown has a cash discount and if you grab some tm3 plate covers from SFW: you can get an additional TM3 discount on top of that.

Spend $2 every week or two to spray the salt off at a coin op.

Lots of people have Krowned their car every year and they have no problems with rust. Tip: don't procrastinate.

Can I spray this on top of spot without rust proofing?

Do I need to setup an appointment to get my car done or can I just walk in?

Thanks
