Hello,

When removing my drive shaft, is it possible to do so without separating the wheel assembly from the LCA? I've previously had issues with that ball joint and would prefer to leave it together if possible.

Has anyone been able to do this? Thanks.

only other way is to pull the spindle off of the struts
it's a PITA either way

Ok. Thanks for your help. I actually have to replace my clutch and I knew this was one of the tougher steps. I may just send it in to the shop to have it done. What would be an acceptable charge for just labour for clutch replacement?

Thanks.

Clutch replacement with parts should come in around $1200. The driveshaft/LCA should be the easier part of the job!

Oh really? Its looking like a real PITA now. I'll have to weight out my options. Thanks for the assistance!

Do you have access to a hoist? I have done a clutch on my 05 and with a hoist it wasn't much of an issue.
I would also suggest air tools. Removing the strut from the knuckle takes 2 seconds with an air hammer.
Ryan Reddie1337 may be able to help you

No access to a hoist unfortunately but I do have air tools. Just purchased a exedy stage 1 and waiting for its arrival. :) . Quoted at $500 for the labour.
