Currently i have a dual outlet Magnaflow muffler on the 3. it has the 2.5L powertrain with the rest of the system being stock.

I'm looking to get the 2nd cat all the way to the muffler redone to add a bit more sound. (its damn near stock) The trick is, at idle i would like it to be little to stock for noise. When i command start, i would like to have it idling with near no sound coming from the exhaust.

Before anyone says "why dont you just buy a cat back"

Ordering from the USA right now is stupid. Our price breaks and increase in every day costs is killer. What normally would have cost 600$ 2 years ago, now costs 1000+ depending what it is.

the Corksport was an option, but i had wanted to stay as close to legal as possible (exhaust must consist of a muffler, cat converter, and a resonator)
I realize the 2.5L has two cats, but i dont think eliminating one of them would be a wise choice.
I do have someone to weld up the exhaust fairly cheap, and i think i'm going with a 2.5" stainless where ever the items are being replaced at.

Any input would be great

your best bet is to do resonator delete.

Thanks MS3_

I'm just hoping that after you delete the resonator, it wont sound like a honda rice can. I still want that deep throaty sound, with a nice noise to it. Hoping that will get me this!
