Hello everyone!

Oooook.... I\'ve had my car for 2 months ( sport GT in winning blue)..... and am dying to figure out how I can get my MD player to work in there. How the heck do I get into the head unit?!? ... This is mad crazy... I\'m used to the old civic where I could just easily pop the deck out.... but this...?!?!! Anyway... is there any way I can get into the unit to line in an adapter (for my MD player) to the Aux IN?

MD player, or MD deck?

I have the factory deck in mine - it\'s great! :)

First off you should read this (http://www.mazda3forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=8831) thread. It explains everything you need.

There are many of us who have added devices to our head units. This mod works for anything that has RCA or headphone outputs.

Check out this (http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=65443) thread from MSProtege.com, specifically look at post #5, my post. I\'ve referenced a couple of other, less expensive ways of getting an AUX input into your head unit. The PIE unit is a great, clean alternative, but it\'s a PITA to get up here. After shipping, taxes and the exchange rate it can cost you over $100. As a final solution, do what autoexe did and buy the expensive factory MD deck.

\"hacks\" will void a stereo warrenty, and are tickier and have more of a chance to go wrong.

the factory MD player costs a lot, but looks factory lol.

The PIE is around $100, and will allow you to hook up your MD Player, iPod, Pocket PC, MP3 Player etc all in 1 unit. Install is about 15mins and is plug and play
