I have an MZ3 with what I think is a progress swaybar with two holes (grey in color)

From another forum: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123758937-Progress-Technology-Rear-Sway-Bar-Review

it states that the progress bar holes are

STOCK: 25mm Solid non-adj 862.12 lbs/in

2 settings of stiffness:
(soft) 56% stiffer than the stock sway bar with a rate of 1342.89 lbs/in
(firm) 79% stiffer than the stock sway bar with a rate of 1542.27 lbs/in

Now when checking JBR:

Specifications Simulating 1" of body roll:
Stock Sway Bar setting:
MAZDASPEED 3 is 479 lbs/in
MAZDA 3 & 5 is 228 lbs/in

JBR 3-Way Adjustable Sway Bar Settings:
Stiff setting is 593 lbs/in
Stiffer Setting is 718 lbs/in
Stiffest Setting is 901 lbs/in

Someone mind chiming in?

I wouldn't want to spend money on the same stiffness as what I already have.

JBR also has an autocrass/track swaybar which is:

JBR Tru-Torsion 3-Way Adjustable Sway Bar Settings:
Stiff setting is 1371 lbs/in
Stiffer Setting is 1596 lbs/in
Stiffest Setting is 2011 lbs/in

I am more demanding than the average driver, so be mindful of that. I wasted money previously on recommendations on here of what would be 'too stiff' on mounts even that turned out rubber rubbish. I tend to demand more out of my cars.

As far as tires right now I run RS3s, but I will be most likely be going in the direction of using R888s...

I just recently put on the jbr tru-torsion and its on the lowest setting. love it. but i am running 255 all around and around 30%soft in the rear atm to keep it from oversteering. havent gotten the chance to dial in my suspension or the bar yet, but its definitley much better than the normal bar they offer. plus the hardware that comes with it will last alot longer.

do u plan on tracking this summer? and would u be running r888s on the street?

I'm guessing u got the tru torsion 250 swaybar? The lowest setting on the 250 is stiffer than the 150 bar on the stiffest setting.

This is not my track car, just my daily... but this keeps me happy when I'm not on track... I got rid of my track car (different plans... for now...)

Edit: Do you have their front swaybar? They offer one now

nah. i found that my car was almost impossible to oversteer even with previous cs rearsway bar in at full stiff and full stiff suspension in the rear and 255/40/17 r888s. so, im glad i got the ,250. until i can oversteer ever so slightly for maximum cornering, i dont see a real need for a front swaybar.

okay good to know man, I guess I'll pony up a few extra $$$ and just go for the 250, from the reading i've done most ppl ran the 150 bar with the maximum setting anyway and the lowest setting on the 250 is just a tad more than the highest on the 150.

Thanks man. And I'll get the moog end links I contacted JBR and they said the moog end links are strong enough. If I recall corksport or someone else had other aftermarket end links but I guess not needed? I remember on my old protege endlinks used to snap with bigger bars lol.

Unrelated but, what shocks or coilover setup do you run? I was initially thinking of going for a bilstein + roadmagnet springs, but then looking at the cost of putting it all together including replacing shock mounts/etc... it'll nearly come up to pretty much the price of a coilover setup. I was looking at the corksport coilover, seems like a good bargain.
