Ok, I\'m gonna sound stupid, put how do I put the jackstand on??
Say I\'m gonna take out the resonator, I usually start by jacking the car up from the
jack point just behind the front driver\'s side tire.
well, Isn\'t this where the jack stand is gonna go??
How do i switch the jack out and put the stand there?
the only other way i can think of is to jack up from the rear driver\'s side, and lift the car enough to slide the jack stand under the front, but that would mean the car is almost
standing on it\'s side about to flip over on to its\' roof!!!

usually the jack stand points are either right next to the jack points, or just a couple of inches to the left or right... it probably says in the manual, otherwise look for some reinforced section. Just don\'t jack up from one side to lift it up enough to slide the stand in on the other :P

i think to use th stands you need one of those hydrolic jacks that lift the car from the front.. but i may be wrong.. this is what i found...

i just dunno where that slot is in the front.. it\'s gotta be dead in the middle tho
My buddy jacked my 3 up somewhere along the driver\'s under-side. he then slipped the jack stands in place right behind the jack (on both sides of the car of course, while the jack is still in place holding the car up.
This was a few weeks ago when I bottomed out on a damn hump in the road.

EDIT: My buddy couldn\'t find any jack points in the front portion of the car.

When I paint my calipers, I jacked the car up at the jack point (see user\'s manual), put the jack stand under the cross member. You will see it a few inches beside the jack point towards the center of the car, look underneath the car you would know what I\'m trying to say.
Then lower the car, go over to the other side of the vehicle and do the same.
To have the front end put on jack stands is easier than the rear end, because you have to reach behind the rear axle to put the jack stands for the back.

lower the car onto the jackstand...then go to the other side of the vehicle and repeat (jack up, place jackstand, lower) :)
I think I need to claim for trauma to the head... :D j/k
