I assume you\'re getting a sedan?

I got an \'04 GS Sedan with auto, air, power package with 2.9% financing for just over $21000 on the road.

Shop around, depending if your salesman is hungry or not, you may find a better deal elsewhere. Don\'t jump on the first offer, get something in writing and try to beat down the next guy you talk to. :D

Yes, i am getting a Sedan. I will be putting 3K down and would Finance the rest. Does anyone know what would be the approx. Invoice price on that Ride.

Hmm, I got mine for $500 over dealer cost. I think Gyro dropped about $800 off of the MSRP.

When I went in to negotiate, the prices they quoted matched the Mazda Canada website\'s MSRP. If you can get anything knocked off that price you\'re doing well. I went into Morningside to start and they didn\'t want to budge on the MSRP.

Like I said, shop around, if you think you can do better, go for it!

Having taken economics, when I was shopping around I couldn\'t help but think about the opportunity cost involved. I spent quite a bit of time reading up on negotiating, scams, and actually trying to get deals. In the end it probably would have been about the same as if I had just payed MSRP and worked the extra hours. Of course it was more fun not working and I did learn some things... Also I was bussing around, so to go into any dealership involved several bus rides and so it was usually at least 4 hrs roundtrip just to go and see what they had to offer (no one ever wants to talk on the phone!).

So don\'t go _too_ overboard just to save a few hundred.

Yeah I\'m thinking the same way about buying my winter tires, I\'m going to buy them locally even though a place in the west end is offering the tires cheaper. By the time I\'ve driven out there, spent a couple of hours driving around, plus the cost of gas I could have gotten them in Scarborough. My time and gas has to be factored into the equation...

There are quite a few dealerships in the GTA, if you have a car, price shop, if you don\'t think you\'re going to get a better deal, don\'t waste your time browsing around. ;)

That has to be before taxes, right? When I hear OTR, I think of after tax.

If you paid $21000 walk away, I bow to you buddy! For my fragile ego, please say it ain\'t after tax.

21k is impossible OTR for a GS sedan.

Closest I can get for a GS Sedan, AC, Auto, and PP is about 24k OTR with everything included (taxes, admin fees, etc. etc.).

I\'m gonna say they\'re not gonna budge from around the high 23k number and even then, it\'s like pulling teeth for them.

Best price I\'ve ever got a quote that other dealers were choking on was $25025 OTR for a GS/PP/Auto/Sport Package. Pretty much fully loaded. If you can get it for $21,XXX. That would be amazing, they literally had to pay you to drive it off their lot. :D

You can get that price from the Sales Manager at Morningside Mazda.

Actually the Financing rate is set for 24,36,48,60 months by Mazda Canada. You can check out the rates at Mazda.ca its effective until May 2.

I guess it all depends on your credit rating and yearly income. Tell us what happened afterwards. I don\'t think they can budge on the rates.
