Depends what you want. Contrary to what people say they don't seize in the winter if taken care of and the extreme drop package is fairly reasonable ride quality wise as well. Getting into the 10k 135mm spring range it's a bit harsh. I put a lot of km on mine before I took them out for coils and sold them and they are still on the car I sold them too.

On the flip side the 30 levels of damping adjustment is vague at best.

What brands are you comparing them to and what's your price point?

Friends don't let friends who can't spell "extreme" install extreme coilovers.

He says he's already ordered them so not much point in offering alternatives at this point. Reviews would have helped before he purchased them.

I have the BC Br type without the extreme drop and to be honest they're aren't that amazing. The back springs on them are too high if you want the slammed hellaflush look. Others have taken the spring perch out to solve this, I chose not to. I don't know how much of a difference the extreme drop kit makes.

The 30 degrees of adjustment are useless. It's essentially 1,7,30. No in between. There are also many people that have said they're BC clunk. If you're really bothered by it then send them back if you got them new using the 1 year warranty.

I wouldn't buy these as track coils. Spend the money on KWs, but if it's just for looks and you don't really care then they are perfect. If you're buying these for a gen 2, make sure you buy the lower shock bolt for the rears from a gen 1 as the gen 2 bolt does not have enough length to thread through.

Actually anything after like 2011 is Extreme drop. So that's probably what you have Mike.

Also I can't believe I missed the part where he already bought them lol.

I tracked my BCs once, car didn't assplode. My car was not racekor though.

Dave_The_BMXER See that's what I thought. I've read on other forums that people were ordering new springs from BC right after they got theirs because they weren't low enough. Some were shipped the wrong spring, others opted for a different brand that they supply

You can just go lower still. But the original BC kit for these cars was higher than eibach sportlines

The reason i got the coils was my brother is running them on his vw and i think they ride pretty good for a daily, witch is what the car is, just a daily, got the extreme low kit, only due too the fact i wanna lower the car without taking purches out and such but if i have too i will, pretty sure im more mechanically inclined than most of the guys on this forum, who just read threw for my spelling mistakes, that being said i just wanted too see if anyone has run them and there take on them, again its just a daily not a track car, might see the drag strip once in a blue moon for a fun night with friends but thats about it
