A letter to the group of Speed3's on the 401 last night

I just got back last night from a 2 week camping trip in the United States. It went really well and I enjoyed every moment of it. I also took a detour out of my way to go visit FD22 in Detroit. One of the things I think I enjoyed the most was how courteous the drivers everywhere I went were.

So imagine my disappointment and disgust, when after driving from Pittsburgh to Cleavland, Cleavland to Detroit, Detroit through Sarnia all the way to Toronto the first major altercation I come across is a group of TM3 members.

There I was driving home, after a long day of driving, coming into Toronto by Pearson and I see a couple Speed3's with TM3 plates coming onto the highway, and I immediately start to feel excitement that I just drove into a small group of TM3ers. And then they cut dangerously into traffic, cutting not only me off but other drivers as well. I was forced to slam on my brakes and swerve a little bit, and this happened not just once, but a couple times. Then I realize that it isn't just a couple of Speeds, it was more like a group of 6 - 10 (most of whom had TM3 plate covers) and they were intentionally blocking traffic to allow the couple in the front room to race.

Luckily for them I managed to take down 3 of the plate numbers of some of the speeds.

If you are reading this, smarten the hell up. If you want to drive like an asshat and endanger other peoples lives take off your TM3 plate covers.

not me, my car is retired... but I totally understand the disappointment, i had this wtf moment a few weeks back where a bunch of gen 1 and 2s tried to prove something near 401 and 404 northbound ramp. I was going to pull the camera footage from my dashcam but I totally forgot.

definitely not the kind of behaviour TM3 wants to be associated with. I'm sure it's not the first time a member has witnessed another member performing questionable/unsafe maneuvers in the streets, and unfortunately I'm sure it won't be the last either.

I just thought I'd pop in and insert my $0.02, as non-warranted as it might be.

These guys clearly drove like morons while disregarding the safety and well-being of everyone on the road, and we all know it was definitely not the only time they did anything of this sort. These "squads", "crews", or "famjamz" drive like asshats through our roads all day long without a care in sight. They should be outed, and mocked accordingly for their stupidity.

That being said, I'm perceiving this "additional action" as banning from the forum, either temporarily or permanently. I'm not sure how I feel about that because I've seen tons of members (including highly-regarded and seasoned ones) driving like douches on multiple occasions. The problem is, and we faced this on a forum I moderated back in the day, they didn't do anything on the forum. Other than asking them to remove decals that associate them with our site (which is very valid and definitely has my support), I don't think there's much that can be done here.

I cannot control other drivers but for one and for whom all know me here would understand I don't drive like I'm 16. I'm young but not a idiot. My car has value beyond money for myself. I personally couldn't say who it was only geobur would know what happened. But regardless if you have plates on your car to a known club (not saying you but in general) and stopping traffic to race on a highway your going to be brought out. Because who knows what this could do. Bring traffic to a halt and having a transport truck smash into a family minivan from suddenly stopping because you want to race.

I definitely agree that they probably shouldn't rep TM3 as it doesn't represent the forum in a way that other drivers as well as sponsors can see us.
But i also do not think banning members for driving recklessly makes for a ban from the forum. There are definitely members who have been caught driving stupidly, and even if they haven't been caught, drive stupidly while repp'ing TM3. The way one drives has nothing to do with their participation in the online world.
I also do not think outing them and mocking them makes any sense either...
I'm sure asking them to remove their TM3 plates wont change their driving habits, but it will ensure they wont be poorly representing the forum. But outing them and mocking them is a bit childish and isn't going to do anything but start a bunch of keyboard happy people bashing one another. Asking them to remove their TM3 stuff is probably more than enough.

To be honest this group of people have treated this like a family occation every Sunday. They aren't rude and always have reached out to help me and anybody we've met along the way in the 3 months so far, so going as far as this because a few of the people leaving the meet with Us Cut lanes and did pulls on the highway shouldn't go this far in my opinion. If it makes any difference. I do appologize for the fact you got cut off and had to swerve.

Because of the 9-11 that are being idiots it paints you with the same brush in a sense because of the people that drive like morons In said club. Check your IG pictures. Your pictures from yesterday, and before specifically show you hanging with a group of speeds . If you weren't part of the group, which is certainly possible, you very likely know the culprits.
I have also previously heard from other members that you tend to drive on the reckless side.

I think this is key to keep in mind. We don't wanna be pointing fingers at people blindly. Whichever members were doing things, know who they are. Whoever saw them, and whoever can match their plates, knows who they are. I don't think anyone is trying to single you out Xerxes; more-so just wanting to figure out who exactly the people were, so that they can be notified and talked to.

From how you described it, yes that sounds like dick head driving but no one else really knows how it was. If users should be no long allowed to rep TM3 on their cars for doing what many have probably done and just not been caught doing then fine.

Yes. I have a dash cam unfortunately however it was not in the vehicle at the time because I had just come from 2 weeks in Pennsylvania where they have a zero window obstruction policy.

If I had a) dash cam footage or b) been able to take pictures or footage of it I definitely would have posted it.

As far as no one knowing how bad it was without footage, I'm a pretty easy going guy and if it had just been a bit of harmless pulls away from traffic I wouldn't have posted this at all. I even left it till the next morning so I could think about how it wanted to post it. It was extremely reckless driving, no exaggeration on that point.

My 2 cents. As someone who is a professional driver and drives a very low key 3 I have seen some embarrassing shit from other 3 drivers. I'm talking Civic levels of stupidity here. Smarten the F*** up. It's 2015, a lot of people have dash cams. Cars that are modified are easily traceable. Drive like you are being watched because you are.

Okay here's my last post for this thread, the plate covers have been removed from the two individuals whom were previously wearing them on their cars. They don't want the individual whom feels as he does because of them to get worse. Sorry for anybody who had to brake and for the needing to swerve to avoid a serious accident, supposedly drastically. But this doesn't prove people were this reckless. It's not like them. Either way I don't want trouble or people mocking and such. I'm sorry this happened but I shouldn't be to blame or answer for other peoples actions


I have never bashed this groups name or done anything in that matter. I've been a loyal and good member to my abilities.
