Our journey started with looking at the 3CX for my wife. I liked it, but was not blown away with it. I sat in a 3 GT in the showroom after returning from the test drive and I felt so much better. I think it is because I am car guy and have never been drawn to anything truck like. We test drove a GS and my wife liked it and looked at the GT. I started looking at the specs for the GT and was able to convince my wife that a base GT had lots of value added for the difference from the GS. We have the soul red metalic in automatic being delivered this week. Now we wait.
I have not thought about accessories yet, but was wondering if black or gun metal would make a nice wheel swap for her. I am not finding many pics of the soul red with aftermarket wheels on them.
Looking forward to conversing with the Mazda3 community.

Thanks for all the new well wishes and positive comments on our purchase. We just crossed the 1,000 km mark so I guess we can run at full throttle for extended periods now. :) Honestly, my wife and I take turns using it for the day, we both like it that much.

Borderline oakville heh
I'm from the mountainside area, although I don't live there anymore, or drive a Mazda, but I love seeing people come from Burlington

Yeah, I can see Burloak from the house. :) Too bad you moved away, it is a great place to live.

Welcome
Have you made it out to one of the meets in Burlington yet? If not, we meet almost every Saturday at the Brant St Tim Hortons just off the highway. A lot of people are from Hamilton and Mississauga, and a few of us are from Burlington. Check out the meet thread;

Thanks, I saw that thread but did not notice you meet in Burlington. I will be watching the Jay's game today, but will keep an eye out for the next get together. Hope to meet you soon.
