View Full Version : Why I LOVE My Car

Slowly following a truck at 10 km/h on Wycroft Rd, just off Dorval... waiting paitently as he slowly makes his left turn... My view of the road ahead is blocked but the enormous vehicle in front of me. I now stop behind the truck as he turns... seems like hours. I\'m just trying to get to work.

Behind me, a early 90\'s VW Golf, filled with High School Ginos, all smiles. They are obviously talking about my Winning Blue Mazda3 hatch.... pointing at it... probably saying how beautiful the car is... the driver seems most captivated.

The truck clears my path and for a split second everything is slow motion.... the 45 degree left turn ahead smiles at me... looking so innocent as the fall leaves blow gently across it\'s surface...

The golf, still behind me was going to follow the truck, but I think he realized that would be the slow route around... I decide to give the 5 admirers a small sample of what zoom-zoom really means.

Instantly the accelerator is to the floor as my 2.3L masterpiece under my hood comes alive, much to my delight. The car takes off reaching 70 km/h in a matter of seconds, jsut before the bend... the golf is behind me... slowly falling back. As i approch the bend, my foot doesn\'t budge and takes the urn at 75 km/h. Now the Red golf behind me, obviously slowing down for the turn fades into the background... The engine isn\'t the only one thinking... my radio adapts for my speed, punching up the volume.

Exiting the turn at well over 90 km/h, a large smile begins to appear on my face.

And to think I was going to by a Civic. My first car... the Mazda3 Sport GT... A decision I will never regret.

I can just imagine myself there.

Manual shift...

But under hard acceleration, whether in sport mode or not, shifts are smooth, especially after the ETB Grounding Mod.

I don\'t consider writing a Fine Art, but it is an art.

I think Mazda should consider to hire us, \"Mazda 3 lovers\", to make their next Mazda 3 commerical ... I\'m sure we\'ll do a better job than the zoom-zoom boy :D
