2005 Mazda 6 GT Ridiculous price!!!!

Was talking to my agent at Melonche Monnexe and topic shifted to new cars as i am looking for insurance for my new Mazda 3. He said he got his new Mazda 6 GT 5D for 27999.00 OTR..i said that is ridiculous, but he said beleive it or not. He got it from Scarborough Mazda.

I didn;t beleive this .......but he said come to my office and i will show the paper work. That ride on the road is almost $38K.....

The 6 is actually cheaper than the 3 when you add it all up. Mainly because the 3 is in high demand and dealers aren\'t just letting the 3 go. I priced out both cars when I was buying and the 6 came out cheaper monthly because the 6 has a special rate right now.

That i understand but a diffrence of almost 9k is ridiculously propestrous....My Mazda 3 GS S 4D is 23K OTR.

If you go to Mazda.ca and try to built a mazda 6 GT 5D. It will come out to be 38k. I am not understanding how someone can have the price chopped off in thousands( 9-10k).

Your friend got a steal of a deal on a new car. I am getting the impression that the 6 will be the best bang for the buck for its segment in a few years due to the type of car it is. It doesn\'t have Honda or Toyotas reputation or selling power of the Impala etc, don\'t get me wrong it is a great car, but it doesn\'t have the reputation and Mazda will have difficulty selling them due to competition with the 3 and the upcoming 5. Ford experienced this with the Contour/Mystique back in the late 90\'s when the focus squeezed the market for small family sport sedans with the taurus, escort and focus all competing for showroom customers. The 3 is a great price for feature value compared to its competitors however the 6 easily trumps the 3 for value. I enjoy my 3 and consider that I got value for my money when purchased used (particularily when you consider how much the previous owner had to pay to get out of the lease contract). By the way, I recently look at a 6 hatch while registering my car with the local dealership and was amazed at the room the hatch in the sedan provides. Too bad the I4 felt challenged by the additional weight of the 6 vs. the 3.

i purchased a mazda 6 sport 2004 gfx package, sports pack , the price is the same i recived for it, the reason i prfer the 6 it has more room than the 3, i felt its much smaller.

If anyone needs to know where i bought it from is at avante mazda and i roughly around another 4 % off through X plan since i work for a financial institution.


keep in mind it was 27900$ for me not including taxes

Im not sure about the 6 pricing but I know someone who works for Mazda Canada and the word on the street is that the Mazda6 Speed will be 35g\'s.....
