Will the seatbelt reminder still beep even if the car is in park but the key is in the ON position? I was always under the impression that it will only beep if the car is in motion and the driver\'s seat belt is unbuckled.

I\'ve only noticed it if the car is in gear (including reverse).

My auto doesn\'t beep at me when it\'s not on. It actually won\'t beep while I\'m in reverse/drive and going very slow (iirc).

My car beeps at me whenever my buckle is undone.
When starting: Beeps for about 10 seconds... beeps again if I go over 10 km/h without it
When Driving and then unbuckling: Beeps for 10 seconds and every 30 seconds until it\'s rebuckeled.

What about when you\'re just sitting in your car with the engine on and the transmission in park?

It will beep for 10 seconds after the car has been started.

mine\'s a manual and if you drive without your seatbelt on, then \"park\" it (hand brake up, engine running), it\'ll continue to beep (even when no one is in the seat)
